97 EB Automatic Ride Control suspension25 Oct 2004 01:25 GMT10
Hello, I just purchased this 97 EB with ARC, and I suspect that the system
is not working. When I put it in 4wd Low, I do hear the compressor kick in,
but it doesn't appear to raise the height any. I imagine I need to replace
the air shocks, but have a few questions. How can I ...
Meaning of Check Engine Light?24 Oct 2004 16:12 GMT8
Hi.  Is there a list somewhere that tells all of the reasons that the Check
Engine Light might come on?  The last time it came on ('92 EB) I found that
the power steering fluid level was low.  I filled it and the check engine
light went off.  Coincidence?

I got one today. Nope. Wasn't about the howling rear end. It says the top rear
window portion of the hatchback could fall on someone's head and to only raise
the entire unit when loading and unloading items from the rear until they get
it fixed. They are supposed to replace the lift ...

How to pad and carpet cargo area?24 Oct 2004 04:52 GMT4
I recently had an Explorer re-carpeted.  In the cargo area the bumps and
ridges of the metal floor are very pronounced and the surface is not flat
and cushioned as it was originally.  The shop that did the carpeting said
they used padding, but the result is clearly not like original ...
92 temperature cycles24 Oct 2004 04:47 GMT2
My 92 temperature cycles constantly. Between the N and L in normal.
back and forth, back and forth. I've replaced the thermostat 3 times, the
radiator, the temp sending unit, the radiator cap.
It is driving me nuts.

What are the odds - transmission failure?24 Oct 2004 04:37 GMT10
I own a 1995 Mercury Sable and the transmission failed in 1999 at 95,000
miles.
I own a 2000 Ford Explorer XLS and the transmission failed this past Friday
at 89,000 miles.
91 Ford Explorer Transmission Problem24 Oct 2004 04:27 GMT14
My '91 Ford Explorer is having some transmission problems.
I noticed over the past couple months that when I shift from 'park' to
'O' that it took the transmission a second or two to engage instead on
engaging instantly.

My 98 Explorer (V8) was purchased in California, and as such didn't
come with a block heater.  I'm now living in colder climates and
wondering if I'll need one.  Overnight the explorer will be in my
garage, but at work it's outside for a full 8 hours… I'm pretty sure

Does anyone know of any common problem with rear window wipers on '01

checked the fuse and it's fine. I don't hear any noise when I turn on the
