98XLT A/C Max16 Oct 2004 04:20 GMT7
I've read the problems some people have with the blend door - not sure if
that's my problem - advice required!
On my '98 XLT if I select A/C max it happily blows nice cold air at me from
the dash vents for a few minutes, then it seems to redirect the air to the
'94 Explorer Thermostat?16 Oct 2004 02:56 GMT5
I have a 1994 Explorer. The temperature gauge reads in the low range
(normal) while the engine is warming up and the vents are blowing hot air

driving the air coming from the vents cools down and the temp gauge ...

We then wait awhile and it starts fine and doesn't happen again for
awhile.  But the last 2 days it has done it on my wife and the ...

1997 Ford Explorer V6 SOHC15 Oct 2004 01:44 GMT4
We have a problem with our 1997 Ford Explorer.  The oil gauge suddenly drops
to zero pressure when we make a right had turn, and the check gauge light
comes on. When I straighten the vehicle out it goes back to normal.  There
is no problem with it when I start it or when it is ...

My Explorer does not like to warm up in the mornings. It will not idle for
a long enough time, it accelerates to a high speed and then dies during

Success!  Fixed my CD changer13 Oct 2004 14:02 GMT3
This is my 2002 Explorer 4-door with the OEM 6-CD changer.
Ford sent out a postcard warning owners not to insert homemade CDs with
paper labels.  I forgot to tell my son, he inserted a CD with a crappy
paper label, and sure enough, it jammed.  "CD ERROR" is a message I grew
