I just bought a 98 Explorer Sport. The oil pressure gauge reads exactly dead center all the time the engine is running, whether at 600RPM or 4000RPM. Is this normal? This is my first Ford and I every other car I've owned showed some fluctuation in oil pressure with varying engine

got into my 1st winter squall here in ohio this morning. white out, loss of traction, the whole 9 yards. i let up on the fuel, let it coast to about 30 mph , pushed the 4 wd button.....wham! the next thing i know i'm doing a 360 spin!.....don't know what happened or anything.

i too am experiencing a casual fading of my radio lights. But more importantly i have noticed that when i eject a cd from the player, the cd is almost too hot to handle. What would be causing the cd itself to be so hot?

I have a 1999 Explorer XLT (72000 on clock, all but first 3000 mine) in UK. Was driving through town at 25 or so mph in traffic. Traffic ahead slowed so i touched the brakes. There was a strange metallic knocking noise, just like a spanner being dropped through the engine

Group, My '02 Explorer XLT w/ 32k miles on it has recently started to occasionally show an empty fuel tank and Check Gauge light, when the tank has plenty of fuel.

Jeez how cheap can they get. I guess most people never even check their tranny fluid, but I drive ~ 30K per year, and change trans fluid at that interval. What a pain to pull out a bolt and do a site check. Ken

I noticed the dome light near the windshield is filling up with water when it rains. There is a small seperation at the upper windshield seal but it is not near the dome light. Any theories on this? Would this be a warranty issue? Thanks dave

I know how to find TDC. But how do you find TDC of the compression stroke for the #1 cylinder? One method I read about involved putting your finger in the spark plug hole while rotating the engine crankshaft!
