'92 - Rear ABS light28 Jan 2005 05:42 GMT2
OK - I know this isn't new but I can't find a thread that answers my
questions.  ABS warning light is on.  I understand that these rear ABS
systems are notorously troublesome.  Ford manual suggests it might be
easier for me to buy a new car rather than expect them to tell me how to
How to unstick an IAC?28 Jan 2005 04:59 GMT1
I've been having some typical problems with my Explorer not keeping
idle.  I've cleaned the IAC once ad it fixed it, for a while.  The
other night I had to just rev up the engine for a second to clear it
out.  Today I noticed its doing the same thing.  Tried cleaning it and

JIM: HELP NEEDED.27 Jan 2005 14:53 GMT2
Hey Jim I have a question for you.
I have a 99 explorer XLT.  I believe I may have broken a gasket in my tranny.
About 2 months ago, I noticed that my OVERDRIVE light began to flash off and on the dash once in a while. When it did this, it felt like I was driving my truck in low ...
Stucjk in 4WD Low27 Jan 2005 02:32 GMT2
I parked my 96 Explorer in 4WD low last night. It will not come out of
4WD low now. The switch is not disengaging it. It is 14 degrees outside.
Could that be the problem?

HAVE YOU HEARD THE GOOD NEWS!26 Jan 2005 19:01 GMT1
Good News!
Do you know how simple it is to go to Heaven after this life has ended?
Some people believe that belonging to a local church, temple, mosque or
synagogue will get them to Heaven.
2003 Explorer - cracked rear lift-gate26 Jan 2005 18:12 GMT8
I am new to the group and am unsure if this question has been asked
before. If it has, please accept my apologies in advance and direct me
to the previous thread on this topic.
I used the remote to open the rear lift gate on my Explorer last night.
ABS Light came on26 Jan 2005 16:40 GMT5
Tonight my ABS light came on. It's a 2002 Explorer 2wd with about 52,000 miles
on it. Any ideas what may be the problem? The brakes seem to be working normal.
94 AC Compressor Replacement26 Jan 2005 15:05 GMT3
The clutch seized on my AC compressor so I've picked up a new/reman from the
parts house. Questions:
1) Tag on new compressor says is shipped with "minimal" oil. What kind of,
how much and where should oil be added?

Wireless Keyless Entry25 Jan 2005 15:02 GMT7
Proud owner of a 99 XLT.  I just purchased the keyless entry add-on package.
(not the one that is wired) Anyways,  You are supposed to stick it to where
you want using the double sided super tape it comes with (don't touch your
finger to it...took my a while to get it off!)
92 Explorer transfer case neutral option??25 Jan 2005 05:14 GMT7
Have a 92 Explorer with the electric shift.  Obviously there is no Ford
provided selectable neutral so I can disengage both drive shafts for
towing behind an RV.  I know there is a dealer option for the '96 and
newer transfer cases that does allow disengagement of both drive shafts.
General 4WD Questions ('92 mainly)25 Jan 2005 04:33 GMT9
I live in South California and we've been getting a lot of rain lately (at
least WE think it's a lot) so I've been driving through some deep mud
lately.  When driving through the mud my Explorer (I have a '91 and my wife
drives a '92EB) sometimes the car goes sideways, especially if ...
