'94 Center Brake Light25 Jan 2005 02:48 GMT1
Anyone know of a place that sells the center brake lamp socket assembly
online?  I've been running on one light (the incorrect, dim one at that) for
a number of years now, because I just can't bring myself to spend $120 for a
piece of plastic.  Has anyone been able to do anything ...
04s20 Recall 200224 Jan 2005 19:44 GMT5
I got the recall done on my explorer yesterday for the rear glass.  It doesn't
look to me like they have done anything to fix the problem with the brackets
for the strut rotating and the strut popping off?  Has anyone else had this
done?  I thought they were installing some kind of ...
Help - '91 4x4 shift motor install24 Jan 2005 05:00 GMT2
I installed a new (rebuilt) electric shift motor on the transfer case.
It still won't work.  The module in back does click when I push the
dash button.  Is it possible that I need to adjust the sensor position
on the motor by loosening the three screws and rotating the back plate
Far Rear Power Outlet?24 Jan 2005 01:40 GMT1
I have a 2000 Explorer.  I'd like to install a 12 volt power
outlet near the far rear, similar to a cigarette lighter
outlet.  Is there already a source of 12 volts in that area,
not dependent on lights or rear wiper being on?  Any ideas

Engine Whine22 Jan 2005 16:51 GMT1
Can anyone tell me what would make a sound like a jet turbine winding up on
my '01 4.0L Sport Trac? It started as I was leaving a stop light and
increased in pitch as I accelerated. When I let off of the gas, the pitch
stayed the same until I was almost stopped, then the noise ...
Anyone off road with these things?? Just a few questions...22 Jan 2005 03:57 GMT1
I have a 91 explorer (4x4 of course). Have had it for about a year did
some minor work to it, installed aftermarket stereo, changed passenger
front window motor, driver rear window cable assembly -- which was all
the basic work it needed.
Shudder during tight turns22 Jan 2005 03:02 GMT2
My 1997 Limited has developed a very pronounced shudder during tight turns,
going frontward or backwards at slow speeds.  The drivetrain is in "Auto", not
4-high.
The Ford service department checked it out & said that I needed one front & one

Each time I hit my turn signal my wipers now move. Is this a wiper switch
or relay problem? What would remedy this and how much would it cost
aprox.?
Airbag warning light20 Jan 2005 20:26 GMT7
Slower than usual stop and go commuting on the freeway this morning and my
airbag indicator lamp flashes a number of times before settling into a
steady on. I braced myself for the impending explosion but nothing happened.

97 V6 SOHC Will Intermittantly Not Start - loses clock/radio memory settings???20 Jan 2005 03:11 GMT5
I have a recurring problem with my 97 EB Explorer that is about to make me
sell it.  It starts fine, then without warning, it will not start. The
engine cranks for a bit, then the starter motor cuts off and I loose all my
radio presets and clock settings.  In the past, I would crank ...
'95 XLT hum varies with speed20 Jan 2005 02:37 GMT1
Recently had a bad humming noise from front end. Front hub assembly was
shot. Easy job and torqued to spec. Now both have been replaced.  Have 206k
Kms (~125k miles) on now.
Now I'm getting a humming noise that varies with the speed of the vehicle.
