98 Explorer EB Edition Climate Control is to cost $ 550.0023 Feb 2005 11:52 GMT1
98 Explorer Climate Control Systems has gone crazy.  I have to turn
the Climate Control down to 60 to get heat.  Repair shop tells me that
it is going to be $ 550.00 to repair the problem.
Has any one had problems with the Climate Control on a 98 or there

Hey all,
I have an '04 Explorer that is the victim of a stench on the inside. It's
been going on about 5 months now.
It's most noticable in the mornings when I go to the garage. At first I

I have a problem.  The hood release broke.  I was opening by pulling the
  the cable in the grill but now that doesn't work.  Now the battery is
dead and I really need to get the hood open.  Is there some magic way to
open the hood?

I have started to notice that when I am driving about 10 miles per hour
there is a steady wobble back and forth.  As I accelerate above about
15 MPH it goes away.  What could be causing this?  Thanks in advance
for any help.

I have a 94 Explorer that had a hard pedal and would make a "growling"
noise under the the dash and a slight vibration upon a complete stop.... I
replaced the master cylinder (proper proceedure/bench bleed Ect.)and
replaced the front pads from visual inspection the rotors looked ...

My problem:
When I floor my SOHC, it revs up to only about 3-3.5 thousand RPM. It
rarely goes  much over 4,000RPM... and if it does, it seems to go quite

I just replaced both my front rotors and bearings (Enter and Outer) and my
driver side caliper. I now here a ticking sound coming from the driver
side wheel when I accelerate. It goes away when I'm going slow. Any ideas
what it could be?

So a dealer near me has a 2001 Mountaineer that looks really good, carfax
came back ok and all, so I call the dealer for a quote. (Which I should have
taken thirty minutes and stopped by, but what's done is done.)
They call me back, and I ask for their best drive-out price on a cash ...

Several months ago, I picked up an ATP JX-150 in-line magnetic AT
filter for my '98 5L Explorer.
Not sure which line to cut to insert the filter into.  Can't tell which
is supply and which is the return line.

I have a ford explorer 4wd 4.0 (97) that has gradually gotten this low
droning noise near the brake pedal on the other side of the fire wall.
I Had the breaks and bearings checked...its not that. Had the front end
differential seal replaced, found a few metal shavings inside but the

HELP! Oil leak riders side shaft?16 Feb 2005 16:17 GMT4
I have a 2000 explorer EB. I have a small, driveway staining, leak that
seems to be comming from the riders side shsft between the CV boot and
the transfer case.  My local Ford dealer said it was the "outer seal"
and wanted 300.00 to fix it.  I have done most everything on Volvos ...
