| Engine humm when air temp. is worm or hot | 17 Apr 2005 03:00 GMT | 3 |
I have a 98 ford explorer sport. When the temp. is warm outside the engine starts to make a humm. It sounds like it is comming from the intake. I was wondering what other people think it might be. I think it might be the intake air flow sensor. No codes and no lights.

| Location of outside air temp sensor on 1996 ford explorer xlt | 16 Apr 2005 05:23 GMT | 4 |
The problem I have is: the factory installed outside air temp gauge does not work after the front end was repaired from a minor front end collision. It reads -40 all the time. I am only guessing there is some kind of sensor on the outside of the vehicle. Maybe not. I appreciate all ...

| Flexible Fuel Vehicles | 15 Apr 2005 01:00 GMT | 4 |
Anyone know if the older Explorers can use the E85 fuel, or would they be damaged? What all would be necessary for a change to be able to use E85? With gas at $2.39 a gallon, and E85 at $1.34 a gallon, and tax incentives for clean air fuels, who wouldn't ask these ...

| Small tubes of touch up paint ? | 15 Apr 2005 00:52 GMT | 1 |

| best model year 1997-2000? | 14 Apr 2005 15:52 GMT | 13 |
I live in the Greater Toronto Area, looking at buying my first SUV. After monitoring used car listings extensively over the last 6 weeks I've decided that an Explorer, with an outside chance of a Pathfinder, is my best bet give my $10,000 CAD limit. 4Runners, Xterras and CR-Vs

| REAR HATCH WON'T UNLOCK ON '98 XLT | 13 Apr 2005 19:45 GMT | 1 |
The rear hatch door won't unlock with the remote or manually with the key. Has anybody experienced this before ?? The dealer wants over $100 up front just to diagnose the problem, and then who knows how much to fix it, while I pay for their learning curve.
