1993 Explorer 4x4 When I push the dash mounted button to engage the 4X4 nothing happens. Would someone please give me a starting place to trace the problem?

Today I was riding as a front passenger in our 2003 Mountaineer. I noticed about ankle level there is a groove in the plastic kick panel that says "Fuel Reset" or something like that. What the heck is it?

My cruise control has ceased to function, it was intermittent, now no longer works. The fuse is OK, any other areas to investigate.

My '02 Explorer has developed an clicking sound in the rear end of the vehicle. The best way I can describe the sound is that it sounds like turning a child-proof medicine bottle top without pressing down on it. The noise is intermittent and can be heard both when braking or driving

I am looking at getting a used vehicle and get rid of my old truck. I am looking at a 2002 with low miles. Are these good, reliable vehicles? If I got one without the 3rd seat can they latter be converted to 3rd seat if I wanted or not?

This isn't about the rear wiper -- I learned to ignore that a long time ago <grin>. My front wipers will sometimes not start. I searched through old posts, and it seemed that most were concerned with uncommanded starts.
