Getting rid of '92 Explorer XLT30 May 2005 21:59 GMT10
I have a '92 Explorer XLT (4x4 4.0 6 cylinder) that I've decided to get
rid of. I've had it for about a year now but it needs a new head gasket
and exhaust. Considering what I just paid for it not that long ago I
don't feel like sinking much money into it. Besides for the gasket and

I have a 98 4.0l Explorer Sport, I've had 3 thermostat's go bad. I had the

My '02 Explorer has developed an clicking sound in the rear end of the

Has the elements been rough on your Explorer?26 May 2005 19:52 GMT1
NEW PROFESSIONAL PAINT CHIP AND SCRATCH TOUCHUP KIT.
Now for the first time you can get the same results dealers enjoy. If you
can wash and wax your car you can eliminate those unsightly paint chips and
scratches leaving the painted surface smooth and shining like it was new.

Have a 98 Ford Explorer with 4.0 SOHC V6 and 102k miles.  Recently
experienced trouble starting when the vehicle was hot (still within normal

Contemplating doing a compression test on my V6 pushrod (1996) Explorer

slow starting24 May 2005 05:28 GMT1
Lately my Explorer has been slower to start; it does start and run OK, but I
have noticed that it has to turn over a little longer before starting.
What should I be checking to cause this?
The engine hasn't had anything done to it since I purchased it new, May
'99XLT Wipers Quit24 May 2005 05:15 GMT1
This isn't about the rear wiper -- I learned to ignore that a long time
ago <grin>.
My front wipers will sometimes not start.  I searched through old
posts, and it seemed that most were concerned with uncommanded starts.

Anyone know a source for the OEM Class 3 Hitch for the 02+ Explorer?  I can
get one that bolts on to the frame underneath the original Class 2, but I'
