| A child seat in the back seat of a 98. | 12 May 2005 00:56 GMT | 13 |
I have an annoying problem putting a child seat in the back of my 98 XLT. Since the seat is split 1/3-2/3 and I put the seat in the center my kid will lean to the left of the truck because the bottom of the seat has less support on the edge of the 2/3 bench.

I just found out that I have a burnt out brake light and just tried to change and was unsuccesful. There are 2 big screws on the top side of the light but it seems that there are 2 more that I can not get to. Am I missing something? Any advice would be appreciated.

| 96 Mountaineer - rear hatch lighting question | 09 May 2005 17:28 GMT | 5 |
Couldn't find a group for the Mountaineer, so I thought I'd try here. I don't like the fact that the engineers didn't put a light in the rear cargo area (at least mine doesn't have one). When I have the rear hatch open, and am unloading or loading things in the back at

| Daytime running lights question | 09 May 2005 01:41 GMT | 19 |
I just got a new (to me) 2002 XLT. The DRLs don't seem to be working properly. Before I ask any dumb questions, are they standard on this model? If they're an option, how can I tell if I have them? TIA.

I have a 93 xlt that the driver side seat is just about gone. My backside is getting a little sore riding on the metal. The fabric is decent shape but I will need to rebuild everything underneath. Does anyone have and good sources for supplies? Any hints? Thanks in advance.

| P1053 | 08 May 2005 18:02 GMT | 7 |
A P1053 code just popped up on my '98 Explorer (V8, 94,000 miles). I know that it means 'B2S1' oxygen sensor sluggish to respond. The manual lists about 20 different reasons, before it gets to the obvious suggestion to replace the sensor. The vehicle has been well maintained and I ...

| 98 explorer cold idle problem | 08 May 2005 13:53 GMT | 3 |
I have been having a problem with rough idle in cold weather even after the car is warmed up. I was wondering if it is a IAC valve problem.(I checked it with a elec. meter and it is well with in limits at 10 ohms of resistance) But I am wondering if it could be dirty or sticking. My ...

| Battery Problem | 07 May 2005 22:01 GMT | 5 |
A good friend of mine has a year 2000 VOLVO S70 AWD with a mere 35,000 miles on it. I am posting this here because the VOLVO board is not very active and the problem is probably something you folks know about. My friends live here (Pittsburgh) but spent 6 months in Florida, hence ...

| Engine dies while decelerating | 07 May 2005 21:56 GMT | 4 |
This is a recent problem, 2 days tops. Sometimes when I start the car it starts fine but then dies. I have to keep my foot on the gas to keep it going. When I am driving and I slow down the rpm's drop fast and the car can stall. After driving a while it seems to be fine, but

| Hitch to 95 XLT | 06 May 2005 19:40 GMT | 1 |
I was thinking of adding a hitch to a 95 XLT. Any idea what something like this might cost? I'm only looking to use it for a bike rack, or cooler rack, so I really won't be needing the light wires, just the hardware hitch piece.

| Kleenex Travelers | 06 May 2005 18:07 GMT | 9 |
I have a 95 Explorer and I'm trying to find out where I can buy the Kleenex Travelers tissues for the console compartment. I used to be able to purchase them at Walmart but I've checked the 2 stores near me and neither of them carry them anymore. I know the vehicle is 10 years ...
