My 02 explorer rear window fasteners stripped yesterday and the windo was hanging only by the struts that hold it open. Ford wants $500.00 t replace these 2 fasteners(hinges, brackets) whatever the proper term is Help

My wife's 1997 Explorer has what seems to be a backfire occaisionally. When you accelerate moderately, it bucks some and it sounds almost like a "cough" somewhere near the catalytic converter. It seems as though the sparkplug may be firing late, but I'm not sure. Any ideas?

I had a 2000 V8 with AWD and could get 18+ without trying too hard. About a 50-50 mix of around town/highway driving. Now, the 04 with the standard V6 (no AWD) is getting 15 or so. Same driving habits. Same people driving the car. No new loads.

My explorer briefly stalls one out of 20 or so times when turning left. It is like a brief miss enough to make you think that it is stalling. It happens when i am driving then come to a stop, then accelerate turning left. It has always done this. Any answers?

I have a 98 EXP that has bad actuators in 4 of the 5 door locks. I would like to disable the system so that the key fobs are not required to start the car. Any ideas? The local dealership told me that it could not be done and I had to replace all actuators which would cost over ...

Is there a website showing recalls on 02 Explorers? The ABS light comes ON right after I drive forward a few feet. Brake fluid level is ok with 49,000 miles on vehicle. Auto Zone told me their diag tool does work on ABS.
