| Timing Belt | 27 Jun 2005 15:00 GMT | 4 |
I have a 95 XLT Explorer with 105,000 miles on it. It runs fine, and I've always changed the oil every 3000 miles and the transmission fluid every 20,000 miles. Is there a need to change the timing belt on it? Does it have a timing belt or timing chain that needs attention at ...

| '(@ Eddie....Can it do it? | 26 Jun 2005 05:36 GMT | 15 |
I apparently have to make an emergency drive from Nebraska to Florida to pick up my horse. Since I have a '92 EB and it only has the factory bumper hitch, will that be safe enough to pull a two horse trailer 2400 miles? I dragged my old Bronco II behind me farther than that ...

| Re: the fire problem with the cruise control cut off switch next to the brake master cylinder | 25 Jun 2005 17:25 GMT | 7 |
This problem was in a local paper where F 150's have caught fire from faulty cruise control cut off switches. They said the same switches are in some Explorers such as my 2002. The switch is 20 or so dollars.

| Difference between '98 and '00 Explorers | 23 Jun 2005 19:40 GMT | 3 |
I have just traded in my '98 Ex for a '00 Ex. The '00 is a UK spec 'North Face' which I believe to be the nearest equvalent spec to the EB in other markets. Anyway, apart from the obvious styling and trim differences I was wondering if the '00 is higher geared? It seems to be ...

I recently had a bad experience that may not be newsworthy, but I feel a need to share it. This experience has taught me a valuable lesson about which automobile manufacturers to avoid. I purchased my 1996 Ford Explorer Limited 4x4 in 1996 so I would have a

I am considering an explorer. I have a F150 now but it is tight for a family of 4. I am thinking about an explorer but I want one with the 4.6 V8. I pull a 2 place sled trailer and I am wondering if the 4.0 SOHC would be as good as the V8 or should I stick with the V8. What kind fo ...
