The light is illuminating after app 15-17 minutes driving .

Thx for the details. I too need to xchg this switch. Seems pretty straight
forward; however, I'm uncertain about the ig sw lock cylinder tab.

The 4wd engages randomly after sitting overnight.
Sometimes this happens after driving for awhile. The 4wd high & 4wd low
lights sometimes blink when this happens. Any suggestions as how to fix or
what causes this problem...

My '98 (5.0 V8) keeps complaining about 'intermittent IAT'. Quite easy to
see on a scanner that the temperature reading jumps to something around 340
once in a while. This is consistent with a shorted sensor, except that there
is nothing wrong with the sensor, or even with the wire ...

We bought a '95 XLT that has no owner's manual. It has the overhead concole
with the compass, outdoor temperature and map lights, but the lamps (bulbs)
are missing. Could someone please tell me the bulb number for them? Thank

I have finally located the 'noise' under my 98 Exploder.
After a year of questions here, checks with my friendly transmission shop

Have a '98 XLT w/4.0 V6 SOHC. Possible to add rear A/C using? Worth hassle

95 Exp 119k 4WD
Replaced rear rotors/shoes last week.  Rust must have flaked off  and
jammed between pad and rotor, as shoes were no where near to the
rivets, yet rotor was scored.

I have a 96 Ford Explorer with a 5.0 engine and I have a small leak in my
radiator. It is not running hot but the resevoir is empty in 3 days. I
purchased a new radiator but to save on labor expenses, I choose to do the
work myself. Any instructions on how to replace it will be ...

My cruise control is not working in my 99 Explorer XLT.  The dashboard
lights show that I set it, but then when I move my foot off the
accelerator, it starts losing speed.
