is there a way to reset the master keypad code my exfather in law has original code and is making my mother in laws life hard, was told by dealer that "door had to be removed and reworked to reset code" owners manual only lets you add a personal code, does this

I just purchased a 97 limited(120k) and one of my concerns is the chatter when cornering,parking,etc- it sounds like I may need to replace the box. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem, what you've done about it etc.

I purcjhased a used 03 Mountaineer and do not want to spend $105 to have dealer tell me the code for the keypad. Is this hidden anywhere on the vehicle?

I just changed my water pump on a 91 explorer, now the temp guage goes straight to just past the L on NORMAL after about a mile it goes to about between the M and A. After that it stays there. Does anyone have an idea about this. It is a pushrod 4.0.

My disc changer in the armrest/console (96 EB V8 AWD) had stopped changing discs and plays erratically. Would buying a new cartridge/carrier help or is there an aftermarket replacement that plugs up to factory deck? flies4fun at knologydotnet

Last year when going on vacation the tranmission started leaking fluid, not slipping now if we drive it over 70 miles it starts leaking again does good just running it around town . Any suggestions other than a new transmission leak is coming from the front seal.

ive just got hold of a 1998 4.0 XLT. it seems to have a loud rattle and i think its the timing chain. can anyone tell me what else needs to be replaced along with the chain or can i just gat away with a new chain. please help. i would be most gratefull. thanks

Please help. My '97 4L SOHC set Powertrain codes 442, 420 and 174. Not havng a lot of time or $$$ right now I tried clearing them to pass the new OBDII inpection but then failed anyway - I have to drive it 200 miles so it can reset the codes and they gave me ten days to do that.
