My 97 2WD is in the shop for what sounds like a whining pinion gear or pinion gear bearing. I'm just waiting on the diagnosis. Has anyone had this done or know what a ball park cost should be for parts and labor?

'98 Ford Explorer I just discovered I that I have a minor oil leak underneath the engine not sure yet if it's coming from the oil plug or the oil pan itself. Does anyone have any experience in replacing the plug or the oil pan itself?

2001 Sport Trac compressor turns off and on when idling. When rpm's are high the compressor stay on fine. At the nest stop it start turning on and off agian. I check the charge level it is fine. Any thoughts? -- kduff

Is there a way to disable the factory alarm? Problem is, if my aftermarket alarm is activated with any door open it will also arm the factory alarm. Thus, when I disable the aftermarket alarm the factory will still be active and it will blare the horn when I open a door. I
