questions on auto financing & dealer negotiation25 Oct 2005 21:10 GMT2
A 2004 chrysler pacifica (28k miles, awd) is listed at $20,990 at my
local chrysler dealer on Long Island (NY). This looks like a reasonable
price (and my online research confirms it is well within standard book
values), but is it true that dealers can normally be talked into
IAC Valve ?25 Oct 2005 15:29 GMT4
My daughter's 94 Ford Eplorer has too low an idle speed and stalls cold and
when making left turns with the foot off the gas.
I was told that the idle air control valve might be bad.  I took it off and
it looked reasonably clean.  Then I removed the solenoid and I could push
sport trac idle25 Oct 2005 15:14 GMT2
Have a 2001 sport trac that will not fast idle when its cold. Is this
something that can be ajusted manually or is it in the computer? Trys to
cut off when cold but runs fine after it warms up.
94 explorer hesitation when accelerating25 Oct 2005 04:21 GMT6
I have a 94 explorer and it hesitates when accelerating, especially right
after first starting it. I changed plugs, plug wires, fuel pump, air
filter, oxygen sensor, and fuel filter. Any other suggestions.
Thanks
Tail Light Assmebly on '05 Limited25 Oct 2005 00:58 GMT3
My '05 Limited has a crack in the lens of the left tail light.  Dealer
quoted $108 for part and $35 to install.  I found the part at
fordpartsonline for $65.  Question is how difficult is the
installation?  Any special tools needed?
92 XLT Service Manual25 Oct 2005 00:56 GMT2
Are there any online references to the Service Manual, specifically the
fuse box diagram?
Question regarding paid off vehicle/lien release24 Oct 2005 21:25 GMT7
Apologies for being off topic but I thought someone may have run into
this problem I'm currently having.  I paid off my Explorer last
February and have yet to receive the lien release or clear title from
Chase Bank.  I've made numerous phone calls to them over the last 8
Door Locks - 9724 Oct 2005 06:25 GMT3
Front doors work fine, back left lock will operate manually, right back
lock is stuck down and the door won't open.
I'm more concerned about that door, so any suggestions on how to
proceed?  I'd like to fix it myself if possible, but honestly don't

Help "99" all my power windows stopped working23 Oct 2005 02:39 GMT1
I've checked about everything I know. The fuse that control the windows
also controls the sun roof which works. I've taken the door panel apart
looking for loose wires but found none.
Thanks
Tranny fluid change: Drop pan or siphon?22 Oct 2005 01:59 GMT2
Xpress Lube offers a transmission service that appears to suck the old
fluid out and replace it with new.  All of this without the usual filter
change.  Car Talk guys do this.
How does it work?  What if I stick a tube down the dipstick hole and siphon
2000 Explorer won't start...21 Oct 2005 18:30 GMT12
I haven't driven our explorer for a while now...maybe 2-3 weeks.  Tonight
(it's raining), I am about to go take it for a drive, and it won't start.
Looks like it's about to start, but it doesn't catch.  I try it a few times,
then try the gas with it.  It starts....but then dies ...
Any problems if I disconnect the electrical wiring to my control trac?21 Oct 2005 17:41 GMT1
My control trac 4wd on my 97 was acting up and by pulling #27 fuse to
disable the 4wd, the int lights/pwr windows were also disabled. So I
went ahead and just pulled the large plug that goes to the transfer
case, is this hurting anything if I do this indefinitely? My 4wd lights
