I have a 1993 ford explorer. One of the manual locking hubs wont shift out of free position but after putting it on the hoist and turning it it spun the drive shaft indincating it was in lock position. When driving it I get a horrible grinding noise that increases with speeds.

I started having trouble with the ol' girl initially with the speedometer flickering and the cruise control responding to this flickering and hunting to try and maintain proper speed. Just a couple days ago I was pulling my trailer out of a snowbank and had it in 4X4.

I only a one spark from coil while turning engine over! In order to get another spark from coil you have to turn key off and turn engine over again. Thank You for your help with this problem! 1941-9N-Tom

i did a self diagnotics test for the cruise control on a 99 explorer, after replacing the brake deactivation switch (which is what i got from the test) it still gives me the same reading does anyone know where i should look next.....remembering my test still indicates the BDS is ...

I stripped a wheel stud on the rear wheel while changing a flat. I purchased a new stud and bolt at the auto parts store and will try to change the stud tomorrow. The truck has rear disc brakes. Is it simply banging out the old stud and putting the new one in ? Any advice
