Transfer case sensors11 May 2006 02:15 GMT4
Ford dealer replaced "both" transfer case speed sensors a year ago.  That's what
the work order says.  It's starting to shudder again when turning, as if it's in
4-high.  In this newsgroup last year,  Tom Amundsen said to "pull the sensors
out (not too hard to get to), wipe off the ...

I put new hinge pins and bushings on the driver's door of my '94 XL. The
door is nice and tight on the hinges now but doesn't latch quite right.
How do I adjust this? Adjust at the latch or latch pin or do I adjust
the hinge mounting bolts? Thanks.

02 hitch and ball receiver10 May 2006 02:22 GMT7
I need to buy a ball receiver (draw bar) for my 02 Expolorer.  The factory
hitch uses the smaller 1 1/4 inch receiver size.  Does anyone have a
recommendation on a drop size?  The guy at my local auto shop suggested that
a 2 1/2 inch drop was the right one.  However, I don't ...

I have a 1998 Ford Expedition with a 4.6 liter V8 engine. The check engine

local mechanic to have the problem checked out. He told me I need new plugs
and wires. I went and purchased those items and ...

My 1996 Explorer XLT V8 AWD was stolen this past weekend and I am
looking for a "newer" used, suitable, similar, replacement.  It had
150K miles on it, ran great and never gave me any problems since I
bought it used in 1998 with 59K miles on it.  Since I liked this one so
1994 Explorer: Rear brake-line pin-hole leak repair?06 May 2006 04:41 GMT8
I recently (today) bought a 1994 Eddie Bauer with 152,000 miles on it.
The vehicle looks good, and runs well. Unfortunately, after about 40
miles of driving it around town while slowing for a stop-sign, the
brake-pedal suddenly hit the floor. The backup system worked as

What causes a squeal in 99 Explorer XLS when the key is turned off? It does
not happen all the time.  Its hard to tell inside the vehicle, but it sounds
like it is originating from the fuel pump.  Temperature does not seem to
play a factor.  The squeal only lasts for maybe three ...
