Code P145030 Jun 2006 14:27 GMT1
I have a 96 Explorer 4.0 AT 4wd 77k miles. I have trouble code P1450 and
have read it might be the fuel tank pressure sensor. I recently had the
trans rebuilt in March and a camshaft synchronizer put in last week. I
doubt the code is related but thought I should mention it. Any

Hi, I am a new member to the group. My problem is my 96 explorer, the

I have a 1998 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer with 102k miles and have been
having A/C issues.  The A/C will only blow hot air and in addition,
there is a rattling noise when I idle. I took it to a repair shop and
they said the hot air and the rattling are related due to a leak in the

I have a 95 Explorer with 245000 miles on it.  My son decided to
take it four wheeling last wheel and fried the clutch while changing
gears on a steep ascent.  Now both him and I will have the pleasure of
learning how to replace a clutch.  I've started doing some preliminary
Help needed with erratic speedo on 96 Explorer25 Jun 2006 18:26 GMT5
A few weeks ago the speedo in my 96 explorer started to behave
erraticly. The needle was bouncing up and down at all speeds. Also it
apeared to show the speed about 10-20 km/h too slow. At this time the
tranny was shifting very bad. After a about 5 days driving with this

I have a 99 explorer 4wd. At the transfer case, the front drive shaft
is connected by a cv joint. The front seal in the transfer case has a
small leak. I've removed the drive shaft from the transfer case by
means of the 8 bolts and moon shaped brackets, tbut here are no nuts or

98 4.0 SOHC Sport. 100K miles. Just took it in for 90K service couple of
months ago When I push in the lever to activate the windshield spray, no
water comes out. I hear what sounds like a pump and the wipers work fine,
but no water comes out. What steps should I pursue to find ...
Oil filler cap line25 Jun 2006 00:10 GMT5
On the tube leading into the engine there is a  approx 3/4 " rubber hose
located below the oil filler cap. This line does not connect to
anything, just dead ends to the atmosphere. Is this right or is it
supposed to be connected to something? I looked around, could find no

97 odd noise at speed24 Jun 2006 19:18 GMT5
I have a 97 2wd 4.0 OHV 4-door with 120K miles.  In the last few weeks, I
have had a sound at freeway speeds (greater than 65-70 MPH) that sounds like
it is coming from the right front end.  It sounds like "mwah" so when I'm
going down the freeway and hit about 70 MPH I hear a ...
Blend door - what years affected?23 Jun 2006 18:35 GMT3
I found an article on the blend door issue
(http://www.mightyautoparts.com/pdf/articles/otl1200.pdf) that indicates the
issue is for Explorers built between 1995 and April 1998.
Can anyone confirm when Ford updated the problem and how to easily recognize
Explorer turn signal blinking fast, but bulb has been replaced22 Jun 2006 16:33 GMT6
I have a 2002 Explorer which has been doing a fast signal blink on the
left for about a week.  Come to find out, the rear bulb was out.  Put
a new bulb in, and the bulb won't light, and the blinker is still
blinking fast.

Thoughts on improving mileage?21 Jun 2006 13:53 GMT21
I have a '98 XLT with the 4.0L SOHC.   I get a pretty steady 14-17 mpg
combined city/highway depending on the season.    Anything I can do to
improve my mileage significantly?    I mean beyond keeping the engine
tuned up and air cleaner element clean.
1994 Ranger Fuse Box schematic21 Jun 2006 00:03 GMT2
Does anyone have a schematic or description of the fuse locations for a
1994 Ford Ranger XLT. I am too cheap to go buy a manual and want to
know if that year had a factory cruise control. I have been told mine
is an aftermarket and it is not working so I am chasing the possibility
