I recently purchased a 1994 Ranger 5 speed with only 75,000 miles. I
have noticed that the brakes seem to be working except when at a stand
still and constant pressure is applied to brakes the pedal will slowly
go all the way to the floor. Is this a bleeding problem (air in the

i am trying to repace theoffside rear halfshaft bearing on a 99 T reg petrol
explorer. Could'nt pull the shaft out of casing so i pulled the diff cover
off found a circlip on the halfshaft holding it into the diff gear any clues
as to how to get the clip off been at it for ages and ...

2002 Explorer lug nut stud & caliper bolt antisieze ?19 Jun 2006 01:32 GMT1
I need an opinion.  Should antisieze be used on lug nut studs and the
brake caliper bolts?  I was doing some work on the ebrake yesterday and
had to dissassemble what the dealer had assembled 4 months ago during a
wheel bearing replacement.  They had antisieze on the the earlier

I'm trying to remove the rotors from the back of my explorer.I have the
e-brake loosened off but i don't see how to get it to release the
rotors.Does someone how to get them off??

I finally took our 2002 XLT to the dealer to have the tailgate panel
fixed.
The body manager said since it was "cosmetic", it wasn't covered by my

I have a 1984 Ford E150. The starter keeps turning after the engine has
started. I disconnect the ignition wire from the starter relay to
de-energize it but the starter keeps turning.  I turn the ignitiion switch
to the "off" position but the starter keeps turning with the engine ...

mechanics replaced plugs.  The code was P0303.  The mechanic replaced the
plug and spark plug wire saying the plug wire was causing an arc to the

I am getting a message that a door is ajar periodically. Some times the
alarm goes off for no apparent reason because of this. I check all the doors
and hatches and they seem ok.Where are the sensors located? I looked in the
normal places and don't see any thing obvious. Any help ...

I'm looking at a 2005 XLT SOHC form National Rental Car with 33000 miles.
Any issues with this model vehicle? My 95 has had no problems in 125K miles

'96 Explorer "Limited" 4-dr. has one speaker in the very back passenger
side.  Need to replace blown speaker, what is the best way to remove the
panel containing the speaker grill without breaking anything?

I have a 1993 explorer,  4.0, 6cyl, 5 speed and I love it! The problem is
the fuel guage all of a sudden stopped working. When the ignition is in
the "off" position, the needle will move to read a quarter of a tank. When
I turn the key on, the needle will drop down below empty. BUT ...

the clutch and cylinder needs replacing.  it's in the shop what should
i expect as a bill ?  i have a 1993 explorer 2 door 2wd.  i only paid
850 for it.  i should probably buy a new one, but ive already put a new
starter in, new shocks, ....  that car is a money munching machine.

I have a 98 explorer that has been doing something odd for a little
while.   When the engine RPM goes up as the vehicle is going up-hill
the AC stops coming through the vents and switches to the defroster on
it's own.
