1995 4.0 EB with 135K miles. Runs great - usually. For just the second

I bought my car in CA from the original owner. Registered it there under my
name. Then moved to TX and registered it here in TX.

I have a leaking steering rack that drips through the worn boot. It's
making my driveway a mess. I think I am going to have to replace the
rack. Does anyone know of a step by step guide for rack replacement for
a Do-It-Yourselfer? The local garage wants $600.

I'm considering on taking a week off and trying to replace the heater core
in my 96 V8 Explorer XLT .  I've replaced a few in other vehicles over the
years so I know what a pain it can be.  I also hate shelling out $500-700

I cannot regulate the temp any longer on my '97.  The dealer says its the
"door" module and will take 10 hours to remove the dash and get to it.  He
says it will cost $1200 to fix without even looking at the compressor,
dryer, etc.  If that needs fixing, it will cost another ...

Since changing plugs and fuel filter, my Explorer smokes when first started
in the morning for a couple minutes.  Occasionally, it will run at a fast
idle before dropping down to normal idle speed. It may be a coincidence, but
I never noticed it before.  It did have a rough idle ...

    Got a 1994 4x4 EB Explorer.  Having some troubles with the
power windows.  Seems that the drivers door gets stuck in some
non-responsive mode every couple of months where the window is stuck
all the way down.  Depressing the up button does nothing..only noise

The turn signals went out on my 91 Explorer. Found out i woud have to
replace the switch in the steering colume. Well could i make my own with
some toggle switches and a flasher. Pulled one of the back tail lights
off and tried every combo to make the running lights ,brake lights ...

Has anyone heard of a kit that you can pump gas from your car into gas
cans?  I live in Florida and when power goes out here, you can't even
get gas from the gas stations.  Last year I had gas in three five
gallon cans and ran out after five days of running the generator on

i have a 92 mazda navajo which was running fine then all of a sudden it
wouldn't start
i went through the normal checks and realised there was no spark gas
was in the truck and the fuel pump is working i checked and/or replaced
