Common A4LD Transmission Leak ('92 EB)14 Aug 2006 18:53 GMT3
Is there a common place where these transmissons leak?  I could not find any
on Google...  I have used two cans of engine cleaner and a paint brush with
detergent and solvents to try to clean the trans good enough and so far it
just seems like it's coming from the top, front ...

Our 93 ford explorer has been a real champ in the last two years that
we have owned it. It has been very well cared for with only 72,000
miles... but lately we have noticed two things. When the car first
starts cold (IE: First start of the day) the car runs fine, but when

Anyone here experience this and fix it?

1998 Explorer XLT - radio display blank - known problem and fix10 Aug 2006 03:30 GMT9
I have a '98 Explorer and just experienced this problem.    The radio,
CD, and tape deck are functional in every way, its just that the
clock/radio display is dark and so you can't see what station you're
on, CD track, etc.    Apparently it's a common problem; I found it very

1994 Ford Explorer 4x4 Acceleration Hesitates from a stop10 Aug 2006 02:38 GMT17
Here is the problem with a 94 ford explorer. Whenever the truck is
stopped, whether starting out from a driveway or an intersection, it
hesitates / cuts out for a second when you put your foot on the gas. It
doesn't seem to do this if you put your foot on the gas slowly and
fuel pump sometimes doesn't work10 Aug 2006 01:23 GMT6
1994 4 door, XLT, when the key is turned on,, I can hear the fuel pump
then it starts up, if I can't hear the pump hum, it doesn't start, this
has happened 5 times in 2 years. I wait awhile, then turn key and motor
starts. It's happening much more now. I'm thinking maybe it's in the
Horn operation with keyless remote08 Aug 2006 01:07 GMT10
My neighbor honks his horn repeatedly in the morning to unlock his car.
He has a 2004 Ford pickup.  I do not know how the keyless remote
works.  Is it necessary that the horn sound when unlocking the vehicle?
Is there another way to enter the car not sounding the horn.  If

Cargo cover for 2002 Explorer04 Aug 2006 15:01 GMT2
I'm looking to get a retractable cargo cover for the used 2002

My 91 is smoking out the vents04 Aug 2006 13:04 GMT11
Hopefully someone can help me with this... I was on the highway for about an
hour with the A/C running normally, all of a sudden smoke starts pouring out
of my vents, I turn off the A/C and check under the hood. The fan motor?  in
the passenger/windshield corner is smoking a bit but ...
Explorer Circuit Breaker04 Aug 2006 11:09 GMT2
I have a 95 Explorer with the one and only 4.0L engine
offered that year.  When I start the car I get a momentary

retracting quickly enough.  So I need a new starter.  Last
