| My E85 Experience | 10 Sep 2006 16:16 GMT | 4 |
My '04 Explorer is a flexible fuel vehicle, meaning it can run on E85. I've been waiting for years for a gas station to stock E85 so I can try it. Well, I finally found a station near where I work (Schaumburg, Il) that has E85, so I tried a couple of tank fulls.

So, I went out and bought some mudder tires and of course the "Free Replacement Warranties". I had to collect on one due to an improper placed nail. They put a new tire on the right front and said I'd be okay ( I have the AWD ) beings the tread depth difference was only 2/32nds ...

My son is looking at a 1998 Explorer which has the 4.0L OHV V6 engine (not the SOHC). It looks and runs great except for one thing. When the engine starts there is a squeal that lasts about a second. I've heard this noise on other Fords but have never
