I need to replace all 4 brake rotors on my 2003 explorer. I have never
replaced brake rotors on a 4x4. Is it harder? Does the center nut on
the rear rotor need to come off?
Thanks,
The inevitable finally happened at 127,000 mi - 92 Exp23 Dec 2006 16:49 GMT3
Lost my OD and all engine braking in any gear.  Strangely the gas
mileage seems to have gone up about 10%.  Maybe just the cold weather
letting the AC loaf.  Hadn't driven it for a couple of weeks (mainly
the wife drives it) and used it to take the family to dinner yesterday
97 Explorer 5.0L V8 Idles rough23 Dec 2006 01:47 GMT4
I tried to start my Explorer last night. The engine turned, but it didn't
start. I tried again. The engine didn't start either, but this time smoke
came from under the hood. It wasn't an electrical fire, but had the odor of
unburnt gas. I checked under the hood. Everything looked ...
stalling at lights...intermittently23 Dec 2006 00:00 GMT7
I have a 1995 Explorer 6-cyl automatic with ~110K miles. Truck usually

97 Explorer 5.0 with P0125 Code22 Dec 2006 20:09 GMT7

I own an 98 Explorer V-8, 5.0 with 105 thousand miles, everything original

I started the vehicle two days ago and it immediately died, on the third try
it continued running, very roughly.  After driving about 1 mile ...

94 Explorer - anti lock brakes pulsing when parking21 Dec 2006 14:09 GMT4
For the past few months, my anti-lock brakes will activate when pulling
into a parking space.  It can be a shock sometimes when you feel like your
brakes aren't working.  Brakes are fine at all other times - only happens
when the front wheels are cranked sharply.
