Just curious- anyone know what's the typical mileage before a valve job
is needed? The original OHV V6 has cast iron heads, the SOHC has
aluminum heads.  In ancient times, seems like it was normal to do a

When passing slower moving vehicles on two lane roads or up hills my 94
XLT with 170K miles begins to ping above 70 mph until I lift my foot. I

Replace fuel pressure regulator; replace ignition wires; replaced upper

1994 Explorer XL auto trans, Suddenly the speedometer is reading about
10-15 MPH faster than actual speed. Less of a difference at slower

i recently purchased a 97 mercury mountaineer.  my mechanic switched
out the engine and replaced it with a 'pp ford explorer.
this has to be the dumbest move he ever made because he had to change
