| anti-seize for spark plugs | 18 Jul 2007 06:36 GMT | 14 |
Is it advisable to use anti-seize for spark plus? I will soon be changing my 2000 V8 plugs (82K). If I use anti-seize on the plug threads, will it prevent plugs from being 'welded' into block? Thanks-this group is a real help to me!

Just driving down the road and power stopped going to rear wheels. My 1991 Explorer 4x4 has manual 5 speed, electric 4w drive selection, and was in 2W High. The 4W drive system has been inactive for the last 5 years and the 2 buttons don't do anything. The clutch seems be

A freind want to change the plugs in her 2001 Sport Trac with around 100,000 miles. How difficult will this be? Any suggestions, warnings, or recommendations? Is there a web site with pictures? How long should it take? I figure the wires should be replaced as well.

I read the other topic on this, and I'm such a layman I have no idea what they meant by heaterbox and firewall. Can someone slowly explain it as if I were from another planet or a small, slow child?

Yesterday, my 94 XLT failed to start after the drive home from work. Lots of battery and cranking but no start. Could not hear the fuel pump running. Came back about 10:00 pm and it started like nothing was ever wrong. So what should I check ahead of the fuel pump to diagnose and ...

Hi folks, hope you all had a great weekend. My wife and I just returned from a 200 mile trip in our 98, 5.0 AWD. It was brought to my attention by my wife that the A/C blower was slowing down when I accelerated or went up a gradual incline, I hadn't noticed it before she

I am trying to get a few ideas on what I can check for this problem. My Explorer has began to not start from time to time. It does not seem to matter if it is hot or cold. It may go weeks and not mess up at all, then out of the blue will not crank. Either it cranks and

| Testing coil pack question 99XLT | 09 Jul 2007 16:24 GMT | 2 |
I recently did a tune up myself on my 99 XLT SOHC 63K miles. I replaced the plugs, wires, PCV valve, and fuel filter. I still notice an occasional miss at idle, other than that the truck runs fine. The coil pack is original so I decided to take it out and test it.
