I have a 1997 Explorer 4.0L it will start and stay running as long as there is pressure on the accelerator pedal. I just drove it down the road, it runs fine but will die if I take my foot off of the pedal.

I'm coming up near the end of my extended warrantee on my '03 Explorer and I'm hearing some whine from the rear end. Is this subject to a TSB or is it a known issue? I'm at 70k miles and have never towed anything with this car. dave

I have a 96 xlt V8 with the factory 6cd changer/tape - no sub. Although the CDs are better than the radio, I would like to play an mp3 player through the system and not use one of the awful rf modulators.

Can the sound system be identified from the vin? Seems the options (according to Crutchfield) are Mach, Premium, and Standard. I'm pretty sure mine is Premium, but not certain. FWIW it's a cd/cassette with 6 disk changer in the console.

I found an odd part hanging behind the bumper on the drivers side. In the same area is an existing fog light and another connector which is plugged up (Don't know what it is either). The third one which is in question is threaded one one end and kind-of looks like a temp sensor
