Reading DPFE voltage using OBD-II PID29 Oct 2007 02:30 GMT3
I back probed the connector on the DPFE referenced to SIGRTN , Vref =
5V, DPFE = 2.39V (zero delta pressure - both ports open to air).  The
DPFE voltage should be < 0.6 volts with a zero delta pressure
therefore the DPFE is defective.  I also applied pressure (output

I bought this car new and it has only about 35,000 miles on it.  It
starts instantly but for the last couple of weeks it will stall
immediatly after starting.  It restarts instantly and is runs perfectly
after that. Problem may occur maybe once more later in the day.  Air
How to check belt tensioner?27 Oct 2007 17:30 GMT5
'98 Explorer with 5.0L engine, 115K miles. Serpentine belt started chirping
at start-up in cold weather. Driving through puddles with cold engine makes
it worse - a deep puddle caused it to slip so bad that I lost power steering
until the belt dried up -- bad deal! Couldn't do ...

Does anyone have experience on replacement and bleeding.  Did you have

I have a 1999 Ford Explorer SUV 4x4 with a 4.0L engine. I noticed that
when the weather gets cold, when first started, the oil pressure gauge
needle does not jump up to it's normal position but stays laying down
like it is when shut off. I started to notice this happening last

1994 Explorer Electrical Problem19 Oct 2007 01:26 GMT1
I've got a problem with the old girl. It starts fine, but once it
idles down to its regular idle RPM, it starts to chug and is burning a
ton of gas. If I remove a vacuum line, the truck runs a lot better.
There's a little more to this story. I had a problem with the starter

Oil change - under truck inspection - Warmen Solution versus DIY16 Oct 2007 23:57 GMT30
While changing the oil on my S-10 I noticed that the knuckles on the
center link were just barely scraping the bottom of the oil pan and
starting to wear it a little bit.   They just barely touch it at each
of the ends where the bottom of the pan curves up to form the sides.

1994 FExplorer, 4.0L, Edmonton, AB: IMO, this is the best oil drain
valve around. Living here in Edmonton, where winter temperatures
really take a beating on oil, I have to rely on either semi synthetic
or synthetic motor oil.
