Question about removing console26 Nov 2007 23:36 GMT1
Hi! I have been looking at used Ford Explorers recently. I am a
substitute rural mail carrier and since I don't work too often, I have
no need for a right hand drive vehicle. Instead I would like a vehicle
that I could use for every day with occasional work use. When working
Electrical problem24 Nov 2007 22:07 GMT2
So I started my 95 explorer yesterday morning, went to work, did some
mid-day errands, after work went to store, came out of the store and
it wouldn't start, no power. So I'm thinking it's that dodgy battery
terminal (-) connection. I get something out of the back, tap it a

Repair Window Lifters?21 Nov 2007 09:28 GMT8
Anyone ever managed (or even tried) to fix any of those hydraulic window
lifters?  The ones on my '91 rear window are shot and it costs about $50 for
new ones.  The warning labels on them make it sound like if you take them
apart you will end up walking around with a steel shaft ...

94 Explorer-acts like starving for fuel when accelerating, but.....18 Nov 2007 13:24 GMT9
When I accelerate hard, as in pulling out into traffic, the engine
coughs and sputters. Loss of power. When I ease off then the engine
operates normally. This basically happens over 2000 RPMs.
I've added fuel additives, injector cleaners, octane boosters, you
Solved Coolant Leak - Bar's Leak16 Nov 2007 01:54 GMT3
For context, approximately two months back, I solved a 'slight'
coolant leak using Bar's Leak.  As a result, I decided to post and log
my solution (based on research) so that others could rely on my
experience(s).  For post see

99 gear shift indicator thumbwheel adjuster not working10 Nov 2007 18:16 GMT2
Last year I had a problem with my shift indicator being off a little.
I fixed it by turning the thumbwheel adjuster under the steering
wheel.
Now all of a sudden I notice the same problem, but now when I go to
Deep Dish Heavy Rubber Winter Mats For Explorer10 Nov 2007 10:57 GMT2
Where can I get custom fit (not just "they fit if you cut them) heavy duty
flexible rubber winter mats for my 2003 Mountaineer? I DO NOT want "floor
liners" that are hard flat plastic, but flexible "corregated" or
"honeycombed" rubber mats.

Hey all.  Ok another problem with my 1997 explorer. yes, I am a

take a crap.  I had a friend of mine who is a part time mechanic that
2000 XLT - 3rd tail/brake light -where to buy?08 Nov 2007 20:29 GMT2
I broke the tail/brake light over my rear door (right at roof line) on my
2000 explorer XLT. It's very expensive to get from the dealer and I was
hoping to find an online parts store to buy a replacement from. Any
suggestions are greatly appreciated.
