I am driving a 99 Ford Explorer with about 140K miles and I have noticed on a couple of occasions the the front wheels seem to slip. The first time it happened it was really snowy and icy but I didn't put it together with the idea that it might be my 4WD. Then nothing

In our only snow fall before the holidays i noticed the Auto 4WD wasn't engaging. Tried hitting 4WD High and it did nothing Checked all the fuses, all were ok. Restarted the car and as if by magic the 4WD was working again. Stopped working a few days later and

I'm finding the need to replace a couple of lock actuators on my 2000 Mountaineer. Purchasing form the dealer is quite expensive, I was wondering if anyone has come across a less expensive source for these items. Any recommendations will be welcome.

I have a single CD player in my Explorer. There is a CD in it that will not eject. When I attempt to eject it, "Error" shows up on the display. I bought the vehicle used.

I posted before about my '03 Mountaineer being loud. I was able to go on a quiet stretch of highway at 60 mph then shift into neutral and shut down the engine. Noise continues. So I guess that rules out drivetrain and exhaust. BLUEOVALNEWS folks suggested front bearings and I do ...

I am planning on replacing the (horrible) stock speakers found in my Explorer Sport (2 dr model). I have the standard stereo with only 4 speakers ( at least I can only see four speaker grilles in my SUV) and no sub-woofer in the trunk. Does anyone know what size speakers are in

My wife and I noticed that our 2003 Mountaineer V8 seems to have gotten very loud. It's hard to tell what's going on, if anything....perhaps it's just getting older....it was purchased in September 2002 and now has 68,000 miles on it.

i'm considering a dual/dual muffler for my 2000 explorer sport with 4.0 SOHC V6. i've heard arguments on both sides with no definite numbers to back up either. I can't find any good numbers or testimonials on V6's. i've heard that flowmasters dont flow as well

Need help fixing my accelerator. Every once in a while, when I step on the pedal to get going, it sticks, I have to put a significant amount of pressure to get to move. Anybody have any ideas?

i have a 94 ford explorer, the 4x4 quit working, light does'nt come on. fuses are ok. also the cruise control quit working, fuse ok. any suggestions, thanks --
