Power vs Power Assist27 Aug 2003 23:32 GMT1
What is the mechanical difference between the two steering setups?
And does anybody have idea what it would cost to have done (or do oneself?)?
My Gregory's doesn't say jack about Power Assisted.
Speechless26 Aug 2003 05:09 GMT7
OK, I never totally understand, but I am fairly tolerant of rice mobiles and
certainly
don't understand their logic, but some vehicles look generally OK.
Today I just saw something that left me totally speechless.  Totally
OMVL convertor adjustment21 Aug 2003 08:21 GMT4
My Cleveland is running lean at idle on LPG and the conv has 2 brass
adjustement screws. One is small the other mounted directly below it is
larger with a spring under its head. Both are hex.
Does anyone know which screw does what? I have an exhaust gas analyser and
xf falcon door won't open21 Aug 2003 05:02 GMT2
I have an 87 xf falcon. The drivers door won't open from either side. I've
managed to prise the inner cover partway off and can see the mechanism. It
looks like the door handles are still engaging.
Anyone have any ideas?

A mate of mine is able to get me a genuine Ford timing cover for $650 for
me, being a Ford mech.  But he's unable to find the time to fit it for me.
A Ford dealership quoted me $1,600 for the whole job, parts and labour.
I went to Autopro here in Perth on the weekend for some brakes ...

Ford EEC-IV TFI08 Aug 2003 12:46 GMT1
Anyone know if the TFI components on a Falcon EEC-IV  (XF, EB, ED) are the
same?
Pinouts and naming on computers suggest they might be.
Thanks
Brake Setup02 Aug 2003 12:50 GMT3
I'm due for a new set of rotors (on top of other things) and pads, and after
looking around I'm going for a set of DBA slotted rotors with Bendix Ultima
pads.  Been quoted $150ea for the rotors and $60 approx for the pads.  Now I
just gotta pick 'em up and get to installing the lot ...
stolen wheels02 Aug 2003 02:52 GMT1
If someone offers you a set of 14" factory alloys for an XD-XF
Falcon/Fairmont, and you are in Sydney - They could well have been
stolen from my car. See if they have a Clarion CD player and speakers
to offer as well.
