The escort today blew it's first head gasket gggrrr and after stripping off the head ect, then cleaned the head a 3mm crack was uncovered, what can be done or is the head stuffed. Being a iron head i am hoping it will get by till we win lotto ( i wish ) also number 3 piston moves ...

If any of you can answer the following questions, I'd be most grateful. 1. What is the power difference between a normal EB Falcon and the EB XR6 engine? How does it's power-to-weight ratio compare with the current non-XR Falcons, or non-S(S) Commodores?

I'm a spirited driver, and i'm going through brake switches about once a month. They are of shithouse construction and only designed for sedate driving. Slamming the brakes on regularly destroys them fast. Genuine Ford and aftermarket, no difference.

What doe sit mean when teh manual says Adjust the valves of No 4 cylinder with No 1 valves rocking ?? Does this mean i must adjust No 4 tappets with No 1 cylinder at the firing stroke ?? or both tappets closed ??

I am going to begin the process of re-wiring my 61 falcon with a 65 v8 engine. I want to redo all of the wiring. Is anyone able to tell me what parts, wiring harnesses, etc I need to complete this job. Help would be greatly appreciated.

I found the identification number and it was exactly where you good folks said it would be. Now, if anyone can help with this, I would like to know where I might be able to research this number in terms of what the original components of this engine were when manufactured.

Have just bought an AUII with low Kms (55,000). It's as neat as a pin and wan to make sure it stays that way. Has anyone got any advice of what things I should be looking for and paying attention to. Perhaps common problems that should/could be aware of. I know
