I have a 1961 Ford Falcon that I am restoring and I am in need of some

instrument panel knobs and switches.  I also want to convert from a 2 speed
automatic to a 4 speed manual.  So I am either looking for a ford 4 ...

Diesel were it shouldnt be29 Jan 2004 12:00 GMT5
The missus accidentally put diesel in the XE (4.1) the other day on her way
to work. The car was rescued the following morning after the task of
siphoning the tank to the last drop I could get out was complete (Why
couldn't it have a drain plug!!). Filled with 10 litres of petrol ...

Noise-Ford Falcon AU26 Jan 2004 10:07 GMT2
I am looking for a clue, in desperation. I've got a Ford Falcon
AU,1999, done 105k and its been always reliable. It is about a couple
of weeks that I keep hearing a kind of clicking noise from the back
when turing the vehicle. Ford has already checked it, and not
EBII Radio Security Locked25 Jan 2004 18:22 GMT3
My radio/casette player got disconnected from the battery while an RACV guy
was getting the car started. Its one of the ones without the clock, with the
little joystick for changing the balance.
Now it wont start without a security code - which I don't have.
EL Battery22 Jan 2004 23:00 GMT12
So what is the trick in getting a battery out of an EL Falcon. Unbolt it but
it still won't budge. Has a plastic cover around it which seems to not want
to separate. Is this supposed to stay behind or does it come out with it??
Is there something else holding it????

leak at the front centre of the head gasket. There is no mixture of oil /

XF Rebuild21 Jan 2004 01:37 GMT12
I have a couple of quick questions on the XF.
Why did Ford put that ridiculous bulge in the firewall on the passenger side
making it so bloody difficult to bolt a V8 in ?
On the six, is the EGR pipe supposed to go between the inlet tubes for the

Falcon GLi17 Jan 2004 00:55 GMT7
I have just bought a late 98 GLi falcon, it has done 115,000km and is an
absolute dream to drive.  I have had quite a few people tell me that it is
the best falcon on the road which is what lead me to make my purchase... but
I am interested in any feedback other GLi owners may have. ...

I can't find a Australian Ford Fairlane specific newsgroup. So I hope
it's ok with this group to post here looking for parts. I do have a EB
Falcon too if that helps to qualify me :-)
Had the first 500mm or so of my Fairlane ripped off by a speeding car.
