Hi Group my old Fairlane 10/93 V8 Transmission has suddenly lost top
gear Car has done 165,000 Klms I have just spent $$$$ on it is it time
to exchange it for a rebuilt one ? Can some one recommend where to buy
an exchange unit I have been quoted $3300 in Darwin seems a bit dear

I've just bought a late 1993 Ford Falcon Futura Classic.
Lovely car, however, its started to cut out while driving.

you know, the plastic end caps type namely as used in ef's...
Are they repairable or disposable, mines leaking where the plastic end cap
meets the core, on the top hose side... is this something a shop has to do,
or can it be done at home ?

Looks like even LRP is getting scarce in Sydney. Have a Ford XY (1971) 6
cyl. 250 engine - just an old bomb that keeps on truckin'. Apart from
hardening the valve seats (a thought? I suppose) what do folks recommend re

A friend reckons, "until the AU2 series, Fords are notorious for
losing/using coolant".

Who has seen/felt benefits from more high end spark plugs, such as Bosch
Super 4's, NGK Iridium's.. etc.. .
Does anyone have opinions about all these high end plugs?

Am putting AC into an XY 302 Fairmont. I would rather not put a thermo fan
into the car as I am going to fit a 3 core radiator. Is ther an option to
change the 4 blade fan for something that pulls a bit more air?

I have a '94 Ford Fairlane and the ABS brakes system has let me down
twice now with the last time causing me to have an accident. What
happened on both occasions, which were a year apart, was that I braked
but the ABS decided to release the brakes even though there was no

Hi  I found a 1963 Falcon Station Wagon with a 260 V8 on a piece of land I
inherited. The car is very run down and has been buried under leaves and
brush for many years but seems to be almost 100% complete. I was just
wondering if it might be worth anything, and if so what do I do ...
