I have a set of front disks i plan to install, ive heard its neccessary to use a torque wrench when redoing the stub axle nut, does anyone know what the correct amount is ? Out of interest ill tell you how much your getting ripped off by if youve

1) My '98 duel fuel falcon wagon has got about 110,000K on the clock, & the petrol pump started getting noisy yesterday after travelling 1/2 hour....a noise rather like a stationary traction engines' relief steam valve: steady loud whining (enter pommy jokes here :P).

I have an SR AU11 with 16" wheels that has done approximately 37,000kms and, despite regular attention, I will probably have to replace tyres within the next 5,000 kms. The vehicle is currently running on original Dunlop Monza 200 tyres but I have never been happy with the road ...

For about a week there was a delay between selecting reverse in the automatic transmission and the gear actually engaging. Then since the weekend the gear doesn't engage at all. I'm not sure if the forward gears work because I'm parked in front of a vertical drop and don't want to ...

There are many situations where dropping to a lower auto ratio will reduce the need to apply brakes - this is so whether or not you have a sequential shift. But I have seen no discussion of the relative economics. For all I know the wear and tear on the auto transmission
