UK Focus hatch - roof bar mounting31 Dec 2003 13:22 GMT5
OK, silly question time. I've just bought a set of Paddy Hopkirk roof
bars for my UK 5 door focus hatchback. Having never had a 'gutterless'
car before, I was wondering where on the roof the support pads should
rest, either outside of the two strips on the roof, on top of the

Dealer can't find anything wrong with the car
Dealer now says 300kms/tank is NORMAL and 350km/tank is EXCELLENT
2005 Focus info30 Dec 2003 19:13 GMT11
The Canadian Ford website has just included some interesting info on the
2005 model. Significant changes, including a restyle and new engine. There's
nothing on this in the Ford U.S. website, nor on Edmunds, so U.S. readers
might be interested as well since I'm sure they'll be ...

Electrical problem help !28 Dec 2003 14:15 GMT6
My five position switch for the fan (heat, a/c) only works on the high
setting. It still clicks at 0 through 3, but only comes on when on 4. I
would guess it isn't a fuze as it wouldn't work at all if that what what was
wrong. Anybody have any ideas. I was wondering if it had ...
In Car Entertainment27 Dec 2003 17:48 GMT19
Does anyone recommend a specific in car television entertainment system for
the Ford Focus?  I would appreciate your help, as there are a wide range of
products on the market.
You can get head mount units, head restraint units, roof units etc.
4door w/auto door locks failed27 Dec 2003 14:57 GMT3
I have a 2000 Focus SE 4 door that we got in 2002. Since that time, the
passenger side rear door has never worked right. It has been to the dealer
like 3 times for repairs, but almost immediatly, the rear door will not
unlock nor open. It is like we really have a 3 door. I dread ...
UK Focus - Where to buy?26 Dec 2003 18:26 GMT7
I've been looking for a nearly new Focus TDCi (115) Zetec Estate - not
exactly strange and unusual - and have asked three local dealers to source
one.
Dealer 1: Offered me a trade in of ?8k on my mint late 2002 TDCi (115)
Focus door lock module/fuse25 Dec 2003 19:16 GMT2
I have a 2000 Focus and the electric door locks
suddenly stopped functioning.  There is a door lock
module on the back of the fuse bank.  I've read that
replacing the module may not fix the problem.  Any
Help needed24 Dec 2003 19:47 GMT10
While driving home from work today my focus, 00 Saloon  1.6 Ghia,
behaved very strangly. Just before reaching home I thought I had a puncture,
something about the way the car was handling, so when I pulled up there was
a terrible smell and no puncture, when I drove off the ...
chnage intervale for synthetic blend oil24 Dec 2003 18:36 GMT5
Bought a new-to-me 2000 Focus ZX3 a month a go and took it into my local
Canadian Tire who explained to me that the car takes a synthetic blend oil
5W20. I thought I was being ripped when I found a TSB on the net
recommending this type of oil.
Took it past 70 today - 1st time24 Dec 2003 14:12 GMT18
Well I've had it for about a week now (2000LX-15Kmi) and decided to
see how it felt up past 70 mph.  Nice.  Speedo goes to 140 - tires go
to ???? ("Integrity?", hmmm)
Felt like cruising at 70+ all day would be no problem for it.
Which year to buy? Read...23 Dec 2003 12:18 GMT11
Two different years of U.S. SE's: 2002 and 2003.  Both around $8800-9000,
both around 20k miles.
I suspect that the 2003's are program cars, but on the surface I can't see
why that'd bother me--I mean, how many ricers rent Hertz's to do 3000RPM
What is Ford policy on TSBs23 Dec 2003 00:11 GMT3
I found the TSB I was looking regarding cluncking and rattling sounds from
the front end. It is TSB #03-20-2 and was recently released. I involves
loose front strut fasteners.  It also involves checking for misalignment of
the upper strut bearing and possible replacement. Page 1 can ...
