Clicking or ticking sound from new ZETEC07 Jan 2004 00:23 GMT8
Just got a new 2003 Focus ZX5 with the manual transmission.  Everything about the car is great except for a very noticeable ticking sound coming from the engine.  The ticking gets faster as the engine revs and slows as the engine slows. I didn't notice the noise until I had left ...

I have been following this group for some time and the advise and

realize that this combo in the USA with the 2.3 engine is new but any
In praise of the Focus05 Jan 2004 02:55 GMT4
My Mexican-built 2001 yellow manual-shift ZX3 was my first "American-label"

anyone else reach this milestone?  If so, has anything else gone wrong?  I
want to be prepared.

What tires are best for ZX3?04 Jan 2004 05:22 GMT7
I have Goodyear RSAs at the moment. Good on dry pavement, but scary on
anything icy here in Canada. What is a good all-season replacement tire?

UK ST170 opinions01 Jan 2004 15:33 GMT4
I'm looking at the ST170 as a replacement for my 1.6 Zetec. It looks like a
winner if it maintains the handling of the 1.6 but with more power and looks
Anyone have any opinions on it?

Strange beep01 Jan 2004 00:36 GMT4
On some cold days I have heard a short beep when starting my Ford Focus 1.6

Does anyone have a clue where this sound could be coming from and what it
could be signalling about?
