UK Focus MW radio interference29 Apr 2004 17:58 GMT2
I have treble with the mw radio frequency picking up interference from the
engine, I guess this is it, as the crackle gets louder and faster as the
revs rise, and is jus normal crap reception with the engine off. Is there an
easy fix, and would I get laughed at if I asked the dealer ...
To all the sick'oes.  29 Apr 2004 16:30 GMT1
There are some genuine people who post genuine problems and get genuine
answers, and then there are other people who are just sick.
To all the sick'oes who like to play with there dogs, go find a site where
other sick'oes hang out.
Diesel variants27 Apr 2004 18:46 GMT9
I'm wondering, when I look at second-hand focus diesels, what's the
best way to check the variant of engine type and power in a
particular model? Is it best to check the paperwork or check under
the bonnet? Does the V5 spell out the type (115bhp TDCI, 100bph TDCI

01 Focus Rotors26 Apr 2004 19:39 GMT11
Anybody have any problems with rotors wearing down early.  My wife
took her focus in for it's 30k mile oil change and the mechanic told her
she need new brakes & rotors, $400.  Brakes I can kind of understand,
although we have not heard the warning tab squeaking yet so I'm ...
Brake discs26 Apr 2004 18:48 GMT16
Last year, when my then three-year old Focus was serviced, I was told that
my brake pads would need replacing at the next annual service, and that the
brake discs were 'lipped'.
The car is now four years old, and I am not convinced that it should be

benefit of zetec26 Apr 2004 04:50 GMT11
I'm looking at getting a Focus. I know the different levels of trim and the
benefits of each. But what's the point of the Zetec range. Apart from the
add on's (alloys etc) the engine is Zetec, but what's different about a
Zetec engine compared to a regular Ford Focus engine?
Engine oil query21 Apr 2004 23:25 GMT11
My previous garage supplied my 2003 ST170 with 5W30 oil but I've just had it
serviced at another Ford garage and they've filled it with Magnatec which
looking at the Castrol site reckons it's 10W40.
Who's right, the new garage or the old? Will it cause me any problems?Should

Just in case the twisted perverts out there hadn't realised, this is a
newsgruop for Ford Focus owners and enthusiasts. So go and post your filth
elsewhere.
Help! Lost key20 Apr 2004 00:47 GMT1
Somehow my daughter lost her car key while she was at the beach today.
I had to go pick her up.
What's the emergency procedure for getting a replacement key?  Can Ford
do it if I give them a VIN number?  Can a dealer cut and program a

Coil Spring Failure17 Apr 2004 10:14 GMT2
My passenger side front coil spring was broken and was replaced today under
warrenty on 2002 ZX5 with 49,000Km. Anybody else out there had this problem
and is this something that we should keep a lookout for.
Mike.
Can cruise be retrofitted?15 Apr 2004 22:22 GMT3
My recently purchased (Oct 03) 2000 ZX3 came with air and a cd player but
not cruise. As I use the car for 1 hour highway jaunts, would putting in
cruise be a big issue.
I know there are aftermarket cruise controls but they look so "added on".
