etc. Eventually on Friday morning I heard the bang again and then
couldn't change gear anymore. Stopped the engine, it started again

2002 Focus SE
Engine light on.  Determined that gas cap was loose, as per owners
manual, for an undetermined amount of time.  There was some rain and
high humidity.  Had about 1/4 tank of gas left from a single filling.

Quick questions to my fellow Foci owners who have experienced problems
with their ignition.
1. Is the problem the tumblers?
2. How long of a fix?
