Idle problem on 2.0 Focus (UK)15 Dec 2004 19:08 GMT4
I have a 1999 Ford Focus 2.0i Ghia.  When you come to stop the revs stick at
approx 2000 rpm for a few seconds and then die away so that the car is
struggling to keep running.  Sometimes it cuts out altogether.  I have
changed the plugs and leads and today have had a new idle ...

Timing belt interval14 Dec 2004 09:17 GMT7
Everyone seems to be of the opinion the interval for changing the timing
belt is 10,000km.  Is this correct - I thought it was 10,000 miles.  I
have a 1999 1.6 Zetec.
Having said that, I had my focus second hand and the history showed that a

Has anyone changed this belt on their own?   if so what problems did they

Anyone have a Focus RS?12 Dec 2004 20:30 GMT1
If they do can I ask about the state of the leather seats? Mine's gone all
baggy but I think Ford have a revised Sparco seat with stitching which
prevents this.. Anyone know?
Check this out - you'll be glad you did!!!11 Dec 2004 16:20 GMT1

Focus pretty dependable11 Dec 2004 08:37 GMT18
I see the car must be dependable as I do not see to many complaints and no
posts. How would one go about doing up my 2.0 Zetec. Thanks

TDCI black oil09 Dec 2004 17:36 GMT1
A question for TDCi owners.  How soon after an oil change is your oil black?
I was surprised to see the oil already black within a short time.  My Mazda
MX-5 could do 10'000 km on synthetic and it would still come out dark gold.
But then again, this is my first diesel, so I don't ...

Recall...Kind off09 Dec 2004 02:57 GMT9
I got a letter from FORD. Subject: Front Coil Spring failure. Ford Motor
Company has issued a warning that some Focus's , 2000 thru 2003 may have had
inadequate corrosion protection and may cause fracture of the spring. The
new warranty for this 150,000 miles or May 31, 2005. If ...
'03 ZX3 leaving a little water puddle08 Dec 2004 15:42 GMT4
I just bought a barely used  '03 ZX3.  It has a mix of options--no pwr locks
or windows, but fog lights, 6cd changer, cruise, ABS I think.  Anyway, I
love it.
But, I notice that now that cold weather has set in--35-40 farenheit

schwip schwip schwip) type sound at 3500rpm regardless of gear.
Any ideas?
thanks!
