2005 Focus vs older models30 Jun 2005 22:53 GMT5
My parents are looking for a higher seating position car than their
Camry. We looked at the Toyota Matrix and they liked it but also like
my Focus. They drive a lot (35-40K/yr) and their Camry has been
unbelievably reliable and cheap to run. So we were leaning towards the
Headlights30 Jun 2005 08:36 GMT5
My 2001 ZTS seems to eat headlights!  It seems that every 6-8 months
I need to replace a headlight because the low beam is burned out.  Never
replaced them that frequently on any other vehicle I've owned.  Is this
replacement frequency normal?

Ford Focus Dog Guard29 Jun 2005 02:49 GMT1

Ford Focus rust and warranty problems (UK) .28 Jun 2005 06:45 GMT9
I've own a late 2000 UK Focus 1.8 Collection which is rusting in places.
Last year the tailgate was replaced under warranty which I didn't expect in
a car of it's age (4 ½ years) but it had a happy ending. Now I've got rust
by the door mirrors and on one of the passenger doors and ...

I had this car 5 years and a few days ago the door locks will not
automatically unlock or lock using the key remote or pushing any of
the buttons on the doors.  The trunk lock button will not pop open
either, I looked in the ford owners handbook and it says there is a
1999 2.0 lock problem27 Jun 2005 20:31 GMT3
Can anyone shed some light on a problem I'm having with a 2.0 focus ghia
1999 as I can now only lock the car using the key manually. I thought it
was the battery in the remote key that had failed, so I changed it but
this did not work. Not sure where to look is it fuses? relays ...
tire wear Focus 200127 Jun 2005 15:11 GMT13
I have 140,000 km on my wagon and find it pretty good but sure goes through
tires. I rotate every 20,000 km and still get flat spots after about 40 km.
Sears has 130 km warranty on their Voyager tire and claim its alignment,
Ford checks alignment and twice now says its okay.
Slow acceleration for 2002 Focus SE25 Jun 2005 20:37 GMT4
I just bought an used 2002 Focus SE sedan. I like it very much!
However, every time I went to highway, I found it accelerate much
slower than other cars. I had no ideal if it had some problem or not.
Could anyone give some clue before I sent it to autoshop.

Have just been down to mid France and had vibration through the column and
into the steering wheel.
Suspect this may be a wheel balance problem or dare I say it a warped drive
shaft.
