My daughter has a '99 1.7 Puma that she lent to me (her Dad) a couple of

Squeaky Brakes On 2001 SE13 Jun 2005 19:36 GMT1
We first noticed our brakes squeaking when it would rain or in winter.
After a few stops, like they were warming up or something, then they

Odd sound from engine at high speeds13 Jun 2005 18:03 GMT8
I just drove home from a long trip this weekend. I noticed a "crackling"
sound coming from the driver's side of the engine (compartment) over 65
mph.  Is this normal in the 2000 Ford Focus SE.  It's a stick shift incase
that matters.

C-Max TDCI11 Jun 2005 20:49 GMT2
I've currently got a 2003 TDCI Focus Zetec and am toying with the idea of
getting a CMax, probably the TDCI.
The only thing that puts me off is that a couple of folk have told me that
the handling is a bit suspect in high winds.
