Ford Focus Flight30 Jul 2005 22:41 GMT4
I'm considering purchasing a Ford Focus Flight (2002 UK Model). I believe it
is a special edition model but how does it compare to say the LX & Zetec
models? Is it as I think a 'branded' LX model with a few special features?
Cheers,

Rough idle when hot28 Jul 2005 18:26 GMT1
When my 2000 SPI is started when hot, it idles really rough for a few
minutes and won't pull - the problem is getting worse. Sometimes the
engine light comes on. Temperature guage never goes above normal even
when starting from hot. I live in AZ where temperatures are very high!
alternator install ?'s28 Jul 2005 03:36 GMT6
I have a 2000 Focus, and not much mechanical aptitude. Wondering how
difficult it is to install a new alternator. Is it simple like my
husband's '82 Ford F-100 pickup?
We don't have a Haynes manual for the Focus, but if it's similar to the
The "mysterious" DPFE27 Jul 2005 02:50 GMT3
Got the old check engine light problem, noticed, though it is somewhat
subtle, the engine stuttering, took the car to AutoZone, (thanks to the
folks here), they came up with the EGR problem diagnosis, suggesting it
could either be a dirty EGR or a problem with the solenoid. Could ...

I am currently looking at buying a 2.0L 2004 FORD FOCUS LR

Fitting a CD Changer (2001 Focus)22 Jul 2005 05:54 GMT6
I have a 5000 Radio/Cassette in my 2001 Focus. I want a CD player installed;
originally I was looking at getting a 3rd-party CD unit to replace the 500
R/C unit, but now I'm considering a CD Changer - the 5000 R/C unit is
apparently CD Changer-compatible.

I have a 2003 TdCi 1.8 (115 hp) with 57000 miles on the clock,
purchased a couple of weeks ago from a garage.
Whenever I start the engine hot, there’s a smell of diesel from the
air vents and on idle after running at cruising speed. Also a slight
Focus TDCi fuel consumption21 Jul 2005 08:15 GMT15
Just put the third tank of fuel through our recently acquired 2003
Focus TDCi 100.   It's averaging 37.5 - 39.5 mpg (Imperial gallons),
7.2 - 7.6 litres/100km on a mix of long and short trips, lightly
loaded.   This our first diesel-engined car, and I'm beginning to
Rumbling noise up front20 Jul 2005 19:46 GMT1
,Have 2003  ZX5 with 26k on it.  Something up front is making a low
rumbling sound when slowing below 20mph and a louder whining sound
when slowing from 35mph.  It is still in waranty but I want to know
what I am talking about when I take it to the dealer. Any ideas?
Ford Focus TDCI starting problems20 Jul 2005 19:36 GMT9
Hi everybody.  I have a 2002 Focus TDCI which has an intermittant
starting problem. The car occasionally just refuses to start.  It has
been checked out by my local Ford dealer twice whilst under warranty
and they found nothing  wrong with it.  The symptoms are not dependant
Price For Extra Keys for Ford Focus20 Jul 2005 00:22 GMT11
I was wondering what some of your local Ford dealers are
charging for extra (PATS) keys?  I have been hearing horror
stories about people that have lost one key and have had to
go to a dealer to get one and get it programmed.  They were
2002 Wagon hatch problem19 Jul 2005 18:03 GMT6
