Trunk latch and windshield wipers30 Sep 2005 21:41 GMT2
I've got a 2003 Focus ZTS, and I've developed a couple of problems.  I
was just wondering if anyone else had the same issues.  I've
fortunately got a few months left on the warranty, so getting them
fixed shouldn't be a problem, but I'm curious just the same.
Rear wiper oddity.28 Sep 2005 19:41 GMT5
I have a V reg, Zetec estate. The rear wiper is not functioning but
I can hear what appears to be the relay clicking on and off. Oddly, this
appears to be happening when the wiper is in the normal and off position!
The rear wash works but it is not accompanied by a wipe. ...
Yellow Light with "!"26 Sep 2005 19:51 GMT5
What does it mean when a yellow light with the "!" comes on then the
car dies? My girlfriend's '01 Focus keeps doing that. It recently had
the belt tensioner pulley replaced but I wouldn't think that had
anything to do with it. It also had the fuel pump replaced from Ford
Break in period?26 Sep 2005 17:48 GMT1
In ancient days one would drive a new car like a maniac, helping it to
"break in" for about 5000k, then do a full tune-up.
I have a new 05 ZX4, and the manual recommends NOT stressing it for
~3000K, in order for the rings/pistons to work themseleves in. Is this

I own a 2000 Focus LX (North American). It just turned 101 000 KM.
Should I replace the timing belt? If so, what is an approxiate cost of
it (US or CA currency)?
Thanks

Autotrader search results21 Sep 2005 04:59 GMT9
I was curious as to what percentage of Focus sales each bodystyle makes
up in the US, so I searched autotrader and found this. Just as I
guessed the sedan is the most popular followed by the 3dr hatch, then
the wagon and 5 door hatch:
central locking system complete failure20 Sep 2005 20:00 GMT5
After a few days the central locking system was working slow, it
has failed completely today. Doesn't work trough remote key fob
or using the key. Opening the rear door (wagon) from the inside
is although impossible.
US Blaupunkt MP3 player to Europe20 Sep 2005 18:01 GMT4
For those who wonder if a US OEM Ford Focus Blaupunkt MP3 HU will work
in Europe (I know I had this problem for about a week).
Yes it does. I got the instructions on how to switch the tuner on
Europe mode from Blaupunkt Service Portugal (Mr. Sérgio Graça) so here

Power Window Problems - Rear Doors17 Sep 2005 20:32 GMT2
This summer the right rear power window went out on our '00 Wagon.
Mechanical problem.  A plastic part of the regulator assembly broke,
allowing the cable that actually lifts and lowers the window to jam.
(I haven't yet fixed it, but I had to cut the cable to get the window

difficulty have been
avoiding doing rear brakes heard it was hard to get drums off.

Aux 17 Sep 2005 00:27 GMT19
I have a 05 ZX4. I am having difficulties with the entertainment unit.
Firstly, I can't make it read a MP3 CD. It has been suggested to me that
putting all the tunes in the root is what's giving me the "bad CD"
message. Anyone know if that's true?
