Rear brake pads and discs - replacement mileage30 Sep 2007 16:59 GMT1
I've just had my 37000 mile service on a 54 reg focus tdci and have
had to have the rear discs and pads replaced. Is this normal mileage?
Other cars I've had have lasted twice as long! There's only about 10%
braking done at the back - made of cotton wool these days or are the
focus (mk2) st tailgate lock problem28 Sep 2007 13:04 GMT1
I have a bizarre problem with the tailgate lock on my (new) Focus ST3.
The problem is that the garage (dealer) can't fix it. They can't even
get the problem to repro. This is _seriously_ intermittent.
The problem is that every so often, the tailgate won't open at all.

Buying a focus24 Sep 2007 20:49 GMT2
I am seriously considering buying a Focus having driven Peugeots for the
last, well, donkey's years.
I am thinking of an '07 Zetec Climate, they can be picked up for around
£9,500. I know not a lot about cars, having had them handed to me on a
long time at idle17 Sep 2007 22:32 GMT10
When I pick up the kids from school, I spend 15-25 minutes in a
pick-up line. The other cars move along at a snails pace till we get
to the front of the school.
My question is, is it better to just leave it in drive or shift into

2002 Ford Focus SE: noise from the front passenger-side wheel area17 Sep 2007 10:19 GMT1
For my 2002 Ford Focus SE, over the past weeks a noise started that is
coming from around my front passenger side wheel.
The odd part is that it only happens in specific situations and at
specific times of the day: absolutely bizarre.
Sat-nav and heated windscreen14 Sep 2007 14:10 GMT10
Has anybody had any problems using portable Sat-nav (such as Tomtom) in a
Focus with a heated front windscreen?  Does the metal in the heating
elements cause any interference with the signal?
Poor Quality of UK Ford Dealerships?13 Sep 2007 20:23 GMT21
Am I uniquely unlucky in the poor quality of customer service at my nearest
Ford dealerships?
The smaller (and, when last used, competent!)  Ford dealerships in my
immediate local area have closed or lost their Ford status, during the last
snow tires and wheels13 Sep 2007 10:25 GMT2
I live in snow country and will have to drive over a mountain pass
everyday this winter.
Do only Focus wheels fit or can I use other Ford wheels?  Can I use
15" wheels?
Advice on 2001 or 02 SE purchase13 Sep 2007 06:30 GMT2
I'm looking to buy one of two SE sedans, auto tranny, either a 2001 or
2002, from local dealers. Both are high mileage with 100K miles on the 2001
and 90K on the 2002. Both appear in good condition for the age. I'm not too
familar with the Focus other than it gets good reviews ...
Speedometer and Radio surge10 Sep 2007 17:23 GMT4
I'm having some problems with my '02 1,6LX Ford Focus and wondered if
anyone was having the same issues, or knew of the problem.
It seems there is some sort of power surge happening in my car at
intermittant points, the radio gets very loud and the speedometer

I just recently purchased a 2005 Focus ZX4.  It has a little ove
16000 miles.  My main problem is, at times, the gear shifts from 1s
