Just joined this ford Focus group, however the last posting shows April
2008, is this correct?

The cambelt needs doing on my 1.8 Zetec E. A local mobile mechanic, who
has been in business for more than 20 years, and has been recommended to
me by two other customers, has quoted 175UKP This would be using a Gates
kit, and includes a new auxiliary drive belt.

Hi all I have a station Focus 2005B, the boot opening switch stopped
working.
I can still open it with the "radiokey".
Its an electric switch with rubber sealing.

Anyone have this prob. or repair info for it.
My mother has a 2000 ford focus se. Every now and then she can't shift
the gear out of park. When you push the button in about half way. it
feels as though it's catching or hitting something on something.

I noticed that the passenger side tail light wasn't working on my 04
Focus Zetec (UK), so I replaced the bulb (correct dual filament) but
it still doesn't work. The brake light filament works fine, however. I
then noticed that the bulb I took out wasn't broken, and I could

Sods law really - car booked in for service next Tuesday but sudden loss of
power this evening.  RAC chap suspected the cam belt but the belt was still
intact.  His next thought was perhaps it had slipped.   Anyway he towed it
to my local garage where I usually take it - not a ...

I bought a couple of new headlight bulbs for the Focus, though I
bought 100W rather than the 55W than was already installed, someone
has said this will cause overheating problems in the headlamp unit and
perhaps some wiring issues - has anyone any experience of this?
