Tailgate not opening 05 Ford Focus.20 Mar 2009 18:01 GMT3
Strange problem today with the car. The boot won't open. You press the
microswitch near the rear number plate, you can hear a dull 'clicking'
sound - but the tailgate won't release.
Is it common? What could've caused this? Is this a dealer job?
Low mpg - any ideas on how to improve?17 Mar 2009 15:37 GMT14
Just bought a 2006 Ford Focus Ghia Estate with Auto and Cruise control, 2

Manual gives mpg as 42 mpg average of urban and non-urban.
I only average 32 mpg when just I am driving and no contents in the car.

have no idea why this is happening, can anyone help?
Thanks.

is lower than I would like.
The adjustment for the seat cushion raises the seat but it also moves the
cushion forward, which results in an uncomfortable seating position.
2000 Focus OBDII port04 Mar 2009 06:16 GMT2
I know it's in the car somewhere because the emissions testers found it.
Short of standing on my head, I've looked around under the dash and haven't
found it. I read someplace where it was inside a little panel with a cover
but all I've seen in there so far are fuses (I even checked ...
Speaking of Timing Belts03 Mar 2009 12:44 GMT2
Speaking of timing (cam) belts and chains, does anyone know which,
if any, of the Focus engines are interference and which are
non-interference?
In an interference engine, the pistons and valves share some of the same
