Auto Trans Reset - '03 V-617 Aug 2003 06:44 GMT6
Greetings!!
Our new little '03 'vert (V-6 Premium) seems to be having some growing pains
in the auto trans area.  At slow speeds (around the neighborhood friendly
25-30 MPH) it acts like it's searching for the right gear and then as you
Air Conditioning overhaul17 Aug 2003 02:43 GMT1
I just pulled my '85 Mustang GT out of mothballs after 6 years of sitting
(was always driving company car). I now remember why I've held on to it-I'm
falling in love all over again. Trouble is, of course the air conditioning
is gone...I don't think they make R-12 anymore, are there ...

Can't "Speed Shift" my T5.....16 Aug 2003 21:03 GMT2
..... SOB SUCKS! :>(
When I DO try to "Speed Shift" from 1-2, the shifter feels like it's
jamming up and HARD to engage 2nd gear.
Under normal and "spirited" driving conditions, the OEM shifter shifts OK.
Engine cutting off for unknown reasons?16 Aug 2003 19:53 GMT6
I recently purchased a 1986 Mustang GT with a 1993 5.0 HO engine swap.
I have had on a few occasions had the engine shut off during high way
crusing and at a few stop lights, as well as it sits in my driveway while
idling.

Radiator Pressure Cap for 83 Mustang16 Aug 2003 17:22 GMT2
Recently an independent garage replaced the radiator cap on my 83
Mustang (3.8 liter engine, automatic) with a new pressure cap.  Since
that time, my cooling system has developed a couple of leaks.  The
pressure cap he installed says it is 16 lbs.  Is that correct for this
adding r-134a16 Aug 2003 17:12 GMT5
My AC doesn't seem as cold as it used to be in my 96.  Can I just buy a
recharge kit at the local Wal-Mart?  I guess I am not sure how much should
be put in.  I definitely don't want to overcharge it and cause more
problems.  Any insight would be appreciated.
OT: Cleaning... (not sure if it is off topic though)16 Aug 2003 16:45 GMT2
Anywho, I have been doing some cleaning of my car and I have been using a
combo of things.  Spray Nine, leather cleaner, yada yada. the problem is
that all the dirt isn't coming off the gosh darn seats.  My dad even brought
me some industrial cleaner from work to clean them with and ...
Power window motor - nylon bushings?16 Aug 2003 16:14 GMT1
My passenger-side window goes up and down very slowly.  It seems to be
getting slower all the time.  I've seen these "repair kits" on eBay that
replace the nylon bushings on the motor pins; they say 90% of "bad" window
motors just need new bushings.  I am skeptical that the window ...
