fiberglass vs carbon fiber (1st gen hoods)23 Nov 2003 05:09 GMT4
I've seen tons of fiberglass hoods and rear decklids, and frankly the
quality has been pretty poor. The excuse being that "it's fiberglass, you
can EXPECT that it needs to be worked". Pretty lame excuse if you ask me.
Corvettes are all fiberglass and I've never heard of their stuff ...
Proportioning Valve, 1965 Mustang23 Nov 2003 05:04 GMT5
My proportioning valve sprung a leak, so decided to take a close look at
it.  I noticed that there is one line leading in from the master cylinder
(MC) into the proportioing valve (PV).  There is another line coming out
of the PV and to the right front brake, only.  Above the PV ...

RAMFM / Horsepowered Saga Continues22 Nov 2003 22:20 GMT22
First let me say DAYUM, I read through all this crap. Woooooowee.
What we got hea, is a schoolground bully named Bill S (dunno what the
S stands for, stupid?). So anyway. And we got this Horsepower site,
nice looking at least. Here is what I see.

Serpentine belt22 Nov 2003 17:54 GMT3
I've got a 98 Mustang GT w/ the revised tensioner & bracket. I was just
wondering though.. is there any special tool to get the belt off & on? I've
only done it once myself & it was a real bitch to do. It had the old
tensioner & bracket on before... but still. Is there a special ...
5.0 cam question22 Nov 2003 17:10 GMT3
I am building a 5.0 from some acquired parts ie:  block, crank, rods, heads,
pistons, manifolds, EFI etc.  I am having the block honed, having the heads
redone (stock), and will replace the pistons, bearings, timing set, and cam.
Since I don't intend to buy aftermarket heads, is ...
Owners manual question22 Nov 2003 15:54 GMT4
I just bought a 2002 mustang, but came without owners manual. Anyone know
where I may be able to get a hold of one? Please post to group.

Rattling convertible top linkage - anyone bothered by this?22 Nov 2003 14:58 GMT5
Some of you may remember me posting about this issue in the past... rattling
convertible top linkage.  One convertible top link on my brand new `03 vert
was rattling, so I brought it back to Ford.  Ford confirmed that a certain
bushing within a "link" was "loose", and replaced it ...
Tremec 365022 Nov 2003 08:38 GMT2
Ok, fellow stangers...This is HUGE!!!!!
Here's another email I received from Jon Vieth of Tremec.
The only thing I ask, is to please be patient and wait a few weeks until
production on these parts are completed and your dealer has them or knowledge
Selling With an Outstanding Loan22 Nov 2003 06:22 GMT40
With the increase in tuition and the ever increasing demand in preparing
for graduate school, I think I'm going to be forced into selling my 2002
GT vert.  I'm deeply saddened that I even have to write this message but
I have to do what I have to do.
Brit mag octane boost claim22 Nov 2003 04:22 GMT4
I saw a test in a British car mag. regading NOS Racing octane.  They started
with 91 octane gas (wonder why when they have 99 there?) and added the NOS.
It chopped 0.5 sec off the 0-60 time.  The car was just a plain old "car" with
a 6 cylinder in it.  Some offroad magazines have ...
The GTO reviews are somewhat confused....22 Nov 2003 03:45 GMT7
Two reviews of the GTO I read to compare it to the Mach-1.
One said skidpad was 0.7.  Another said 0.85?
How could the difference be so drastic between two magazines?
The Mach-1 still looks better due to cost/looks/performance.
PING: Tungsten22 Nov 2003 02:59 GMT2

Power steering...22 Nov 2003 02:31 GMT2
Changed the power steering pump yesterday on my "90" 302 and it seems like I
can't get the air out of the system. Jacked it up and turned in back  and
forth many time...went down a little but is still hard to turn. Easy way to
bleed or what????????
