Clackety-clack rolling in neutral ('89 GT)10 Apr 2004 08:35 GMT8
Hey all,
I have an '89 GT with a manual tranny, and a problem that used to be minor is
becoming majorly annoying.  Whenever my car is rolling and the tranny is not
under load, I get this damned clacking metal-tapping-metal sound.  What I mean
2003 Convertible A-Pillar Problems10 Apr 2004 06:46 GMT3
I am getting dangerously close to having to Lemon Law our beautiful '03 V-6
vert.  When the top is up and it's not raining (a juxtaposition that doesn't
happen that often in the Seattle area since I love running around with the
top down!!!), there is a very distinct whistle ...
Ping 2.3 Sleeper10 Apr 2004 06:11 GMT3
Hey Don,
I saw a recent post from you about getting a new steering rack installed in
your car.  I was wondering what type of rack you bought and from where?
I asked because the rack in my 88GT Convertible is leaking from both sides

I want to add some sound to my 89 GT.  I am looking at Dynaflow and
Flowmaster.
Which would be better?  Is it a mistake to remove the OEM mufflers?
Thanks,  Howard

from my current set-up.  Thanks
Octane boosters... Do they work?10 Apr 2004 03:00 GMT31
I've got a high compression engine (302 with 289 heads) that pings even on
93 octane. I'm gonna start running 94 octane, but I don't know that it will
be enough. This is my daily driver, so I need it to run decent. Do any
octane boosters work? Anyone have experience with them? I am ...

Hey, with the recent post asking for everyone to post a pic of themselves, I
realized that I hadn't put a website together in a long time.  So, check out
the Webshots page for a few pics of my various cars and bikes as well as some

Howdy all,
As I decide on my plans for the fixing (not really restoring) up of my
classic stang, I am at a crossroads on what to do with the engine. I have a
66 coupe w/ a 200 and c4 auto trans.  The question is this: should I  fix up
Focus nearly as fast as a Mustang GT?09 Apr 2004 17:31 GMT26
I had the opportunity this afternoon to drive a rented Focus; a ladyfriend's
car is in the shop, and they gave her this thing to drive for a week.  I was
curious how it handled, so I borrowed it for about 20 mins to run an errand.

Tie Downs on Late Model Mustang?09 Apr 2004 16:56 GMT3
Help!  We're trying to figure out the best way to tie down the front end of
a 2003 Mustang 100th Anniversary convertible in a trailer.  The rear isn't a
problem as we can cross the straps without hitting the gas tank.  However,
when we try to tie to the front suspension and cross ...
