I have an 89 GT vert AOD. After installing Flows and BBK h pipe, I really noticed loss of low end torque. Someone suggested changing the rear end gear to a 3.55. I guess right now it has a 2.73. I think I will make a change, but should I

| Somwhat OT, F150 front balljoints | 02 May 2004 20:56 GMT | 6 |
A friend of mine has a 1997 F150 and it's front balljoints are making nasty noises. Unfortunately Ford, in it's infinite wisdom, has seen fit to equip this truck with non-lubricable balljoints. Duh! It's going to cost $800 to replace them at the dealer with again, non lubricable ...

During my last oil change the guys at the shop told me that my CV Boot was torn on the left (driver) rear wheel. I've called the dealerships here in Dallas and they've all told me that you can't just replace the CV Boot, you have to get the whole axel shaft, which will cost almost

| 02 GT Auto with spark knock issues | 02 May 2004 12:15 GMT | 36 |
I literally do not know what to do next. I've had this thing to the dealer 4 times for detonation issues under full throttle between shifts. The 1st and 2nd time they claimed "could not duplicate". The 3rd time, they cleaned the combustion chamber, i.e. didn't help at all. The 4th ...

| Coil question | 02 May 2004 07:47 GMT | 4 |
Are the 2.3 and 5.0 coils the same? They sure look the same, but I'm not sure. :) If my 2.3 was dying, and I replaced it with my 5.0, what coil would be a good swap for the 5.0? Price and performance wise. Thanks all.
