3.55 or 3.73's?02 May 2004 23:12 GMT5
I have an 89 GT vert AOD.  After installing Flows and BBK h pipe,  I really
noticed loss of low end torque.
Someone suggested changing the rear end gear to a 3.55.
I guess right now it has a 2.73.  I think I will make a change, but should I
Touch-up color discontinued at Ford02 May 2004 22:22 GMT32
I stopped by the dealer or some touch-up paint for my 96.   Apparently Opal
Frost for a 1996 Mustang has been discontinued.
Anyone know where I can start looking to find one in stock somewhere?
Thanks
Somwhat OT, F150 front balljoints02 May 2004 20:56 GMT6
A friend of mine has a 1997 F150 and it's front balljoints are making
nasty noises. Unfortunately Ford, in it's infinite wisdom, has seen fit
to equip this truck with non-lubricable balljoints. Duh! It's going to
cost $800 to replace them at the dealer with again, non lubricable ...
pepboys/ford lawsuit02 May 2004 19:38 GMT20
Apparently Pepboys won a lawsuit against ford concerning the use of the name
Futura. Judge ruled that the futura tire produced by pep boys was more
worthy of the name than fords new sedan. (www.blueovalnews.com) Let pepboys
know what you think
OT: News About Dodge's New Charger?02 May 2004 16:01 GMT1
Snagged this from the Mopar group.  Thought some in here would be
interested.  I like the part about a possible return of 383 cubic inch
Charger R/T... only this time the 383 will be a hemi.  Enjoy the

Question about replacing engine mounts02 May 2004 16:00 GMT3
(for an 88 GT) Ive heard that convertable engine mounts are much better then
the stock hatchback ones.  Any recommendations on where to buy them (will the
ones at NAPA etc. convertable replacement engine mounts work?)
1999 Cobra Mustang: CV Boot torn02 May 2004 12:27 GMT4
During my last oil change the guys at the shop told me that my CV Boot
was torn on the left (driver) rear wheel.  I've called the dealerships
here in Dallas and they've all told me that you can't just replace the
CV Boot, you have to get the whole axel shaft, which will cost almost
02 GT Auto with spark knock issues02 May 2004 12:15 GMT36
I literally do not know what to do next. I've had this thing to the dealer 4
times for detonation issues under full throttle between shifts.
The 1st and 2nd time they claimed "could not duplicate". The 3rd time, they
cleaned the combustion chamber, i.e. didn't help at all. The 4th ...
Coil question02 May 2004 07:47 GMT4
Are the 2.3 and 5.0 coils the same?  They sure look the same, but I'm not
sure.  :)  If my 2.3 was dying, and I replaced it with my 5.0, what coil
would be a good swap for the 5.0? Price and performance wise.
Thanks all.
